There are plenty of threads dedicated to all the potential Hetero couples, but what about the potential (although less likely) Slash pairings?
Personally, I like Slash, even though I know nine times out of ten it'll never happen. It's fun to muse over and can sometimes lead to very bad inside jokes between my firends and I that last for a lifetime.
I've been finding evidence of homosexuality appearing in children's programming (like "Suite Life of Zack and Cody". Cody just gives off the "I'm gay but don't realize it/won't admit it" vibes) , so that reasoning behind why Slash can't happen isn't really working anymore. So yes, while it probably won't happen, there's always a possiblity that it could happen.
One of the most popular Slash pairings (well, Femmeslash) is Mai/Ty Lee. I can see the reasoning and can get behind this. In a way it's kinda cute. I've also seen a lot of Zuko/Aang, Jet/Zuko, Sokka/Zuko, Mai/Azula?Ty Lee, and Katara/Toph pop up too.
Now, I'm not going to jump on my soap box yelling nonsense about how all my ships own yours, but I do wish to bring up a point that there are plenty of other options and possiblities besides Zutara and Kataang.

Well, I have no problems whatsoever with slash. My “OTP” from other fandom was slash; I read slash from time to time, on so on. It’s just in this case; het holds my interest more than slash. That said, my favorite slash pairing is probably Zuko/Aang. They are at least destined BFFs, Zuko is so SERIOUS all the time and Aang could teach him to chillax, and it’s oddly cute. By the way, we have a Slasher’s Basement.

The fair majority of the relationship boarders aren't real fans of non hetero pairing. It's sad too because the Azuki Pride Parade had so much potential =(

My favorite slash pairings would have to be Azula/Suki and Zuko/Sokka. In fact, actually, other than Smellerbee/Longshot and Suki/Sokka, I'm not very big on the het from Avatar, for some reason.

How's this as a discussion question for slashers - should slash and femslash be in the same category?

I've just noticed that different kinds of slashers get lumped together a lot.

^ We shouldn't waste our time hating amongst ourselves, considering we got other people's hate to deal with. Besides, we're both equal opportunity ships. ;D
