Alright, boys and girls, we're in some need of a couple of new specific mods for the Relationships Board. Now don't everyone go posting. There are requirements. First of all, and I'm sorry to all unrequired: DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS.
1. You must have been here at least ONE YEAR and have at least 1,000 posts. (If you have not been here one year, please PM me before you post your application so I can decide if you've been here long enough to do so. 2. You must never have been involved (as in engaged in or ignited) ship wars in any way. Any record of disrespect in the Relationships Board will not be overlooked. 3. You must be accepting of all ships as to not remain in one thread only. 4. You need to be online enough to do your job. Now, if you meet requirements, fill out this form and post it below.
1. Have you been a moderator before? If so, where? 2. Can you be an active member and online daily to do your job? 3. Can you keep your temper in check when "battle" breaks out on the Relationships Board and remain objective when faced with fights? 4. Why do you want this job? 5. Why do you think you would be good for this position? The staff will consider you for the job, but let it be noted, just because you apply DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET THE JOB. Good luck! -Goten

This sounds awesome but sadly I do not meet the one year requirement. Though, I do have the post count for it. Anyways, good luck to all those who apply.

Same, and unless there was at one point a record of me being involved in ship wars I'd apply, even though I'd probably not be accepted You know that you can accept alot of ships and not go to the threads of all the ships you respect.

You know that you can accept alot of ships and not go to the threads of all the ships you respect. But we need people who will make sure that members are behaving themselves in all the threads, not just in a few. We're not asking that you have to post or anything, just skim through the threads and make sure no fights are breaking out.

1. You must have been here at least ONE YEAR and have at least 1,000 posts. What does it matter if we're not here for a whole year? Just as long as we're experienced enough?

What does it matter if we're not here for a whole year? Just as long as we're experienced enough? Yeah, we're debating that part. I'd say just go ahead and apply so long as you've been here a decent amount of time and have enough experience, but I haven't confirmed this with the rest of the staff, so you didn't hear it from me...

I'll have been here a year in like...5 days, so I'm just going to go ahead and fill out the application form. I'd love to help out the staff, so I'm going to go for it. 1. Yes, I have been a moderator. I'm currently administrator on the Naruto forum, Demons Among Us. 2. I'm on here almost everyday and I'll try to come on here when I have the time. Some days I'm unable because of vacation, family events, or even getting grounded, but I'll try my best to make a decent amount of time. 3. I'd like to think that I've kept my temper in check and a lot of the time, and since this is an internet forum, I'd like to point out I'm not going to take anything to heart or personally enough to engage my temper. If I'm given a fight to handle, I'll remain as professional as possible, but if I don't seem to break it up, I'll contact one of the higher ups. 4. I've been on DH for almost a year and I think that the RB can be one of the most emotional places on DH. I'd like to help out DH in any way I can and I think that since the forum needs a spec mod for the RB, I'm going to try to pitch in and help as best I can. Hopefully, I help return the RB to it's former glory and make it a fun place again. 5. Well, I'd like to say I'm friendly and I try to bring new opinions or thoughts to the place. I may not be the most creative person ever, but I'd like to think that I'm easy going enough to try and spice up the place. I travel to most of the boards in the RB and try to contribute to discussion or state my opinion. I used to be a regular on the board and after a small break from it, I'm returning to it to help encourage discussion. I'm also familiar with most and almost all of the older members. Thanks for reading and good luck in finding a(some) good spec mod(s).

Wow, I meet the requirements! I'd love to apply. 1. Have you been a moderator before? If so, where? I'm been an administrator at a fairly small (and now fairly inactive) Naruto forum, Demons Among Us. 2. Can you be an active member and online daily to do your job? Not counting vacations, yes. I'm not involved in anything time-consuming, and I'm always online when I can be. 3. Can you keep your temper in check when "battle" breaks out on the Relationships Board and remain objective when faced with fights? I believe so--I don't ship anything strongly enough to get 'upset' about any fights that break out on the RB. 4. Why do you want this job? Being an administrator on DAU was surprisingly hard work, but I enjoyed it a lot. Now that the forum seems to be getting more and more inactive and I don't have much to do there, I'd really love an opportunity to be a moderator on a larger forum. 5. Why do you think you would be good for this position? I'm online every day except when something comes up, and I spend most of my time on DH; so I have plenty of time to devote to moderating. I don't ship much in Avatar, so I can be fair if faced with fights on the RB, and I won't 'discriminate' against a certain ship. I'm not as experienced as I'd like to be, but I think being an admin at DAU has really showed me the 'basics' of moderating calmly and fairly. Thanks a lot for considering me. =)

Goten, You can ignore that PM I sent you. Heh heh.
“DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS.
1. You must have been here at least ONE YEAR”
Yes, I can read, and I know I haven’t been here quite a year. Heh. However, I still hope the staff will consider my application. *Shrug*
The fact that I’ve deleted my account before probably won’t help much either. Erm… If it helps, I won’t be stupid enough to do that again. XD
Anyways:
“Have you been a moderator before? If so, where?”
I’ve been a moderator on numerous forums. . . I can’t give a list or links or anything seeing as many of which are dead and/or I forgot the link. XD However, the few that I remember are: BTY Forums, Fashiko Forum, Avatar Love, Chatter Talk, iEntertainment, and a few others.
“2. Can you be an active member and online daily to do your job?”
Yes. Even if I'm on vacation or it's a holiday or something. . . Shay is a geek. Her lap top is glued to her at all times. ^.^
“3. Can you keep your temper in check when "battle" breaks out on the Relationships Board and remain objective when faced with fights?”
Yes, I can. . . Not a long answer for this one either other then "Uh, yeah." XD
“4. Why do you want this job?”
To be honest, it’s something to do. Lol. Sorry I don’t have a long, cheesy answer for you but I like this type of stuff… Being a mod on such a large forum would be really cool. =) *Shot*
“5. Why do you think you would be good for this position?”
Well. . . I have a lot of favorite ships, so I won’t be bias and only “pick” on one certain ship just because I can. I’m respectful to others despite their shipping preference. I’m familiar with the moderating powers seeing as how I’ve tried and failed at forums many times. ^_- Despite the fact that I’m ignoring the “You have to be here one year…” thing. . .I’ve been here long enough to know the rules of the forum and the RB and know how things work. That’s about it. ^-^
Ehhheh. *Back to hiding in the shadows.* XD

1. Have you been a moderator before? If so, where? I’ve only been a mod here and here. 2. Can you be an active member and online daily to do your job? Yes. I’m usually online unless something too time consuming comes alone like vacation or an activity that lasts most of the day. 3. Can you keep your temper in check when "battle" breaks out on the Relationships Board and remain objective when faced with fights? Well, I would like to think so. I am emotionally infested in some ships and have been known to be a bit sarcastic but I wouldn’t get too upset because....this is the internet. Contrary to popular belief, it is not serious business and I don’t want to waste my temper on something so trivial. 4. Why do you want this job? I’ve been a member for DH for a year and a half and I know the RB is pretty much the most heated place here. I love DH very much (why do you think I’ve been around so long? ) and I want to help it anyway I can. Since the RB is the place I spend all most time in I think it’s the place I can help out the most. Also, I do kinda generally help keep the peace already. 5. Why do you think you would be good for this position? Let’s see... I’m online a lot, I’m familiar with most of the members who post there, I contribute to the discussions there, I’m pretty nice when I participate in said discussions or just in general, and I’m respected by many in the RB. I hope the staff finds a good member for the job and thanks for reading my application.

Ha, I almost never visit the RB board anymore. And I can't be online too often due to computer problems. (And I'm going on vacation soon.) So good luck to everyone that applys! XD

1. You must have been here at least ONE YEAR and have at least 1,000 posts. What does it matter if we're not here for a whole year? Just as long as we're experienced enough? yea. I understand the one thousand posts thing. because if your fairly active you should have 1000 posts. I personally think that it should be lowered to one day(If you managed a thousand posts in one day your probably extremely active)

Mike: If you managed 1000 posts in a single day, you're probably a spammer.

I have moderated several small Role Playing Sites, and a few of my own. Defying GravityClans of ShadowAlso some other places that, unfortunately, have "died" and I can't seem to find anymore. Yes, I am usually on everyday unless I am on vacation (I will be leaving this Friday for Disney World). Yes, I am somewhat of a multi-shipper so I can generally see views from most everyone. I also am anti-shipping wars. I have been on DH for a year now, and one of the first places on the forum I went too was the Relationship Board. It is so much fun to post about your favorite Avatar ship, while at the same time fighting the dreaded AWS. It would be great to monitor this board, so I could be able to see more ships being discussed. Also, I only monitor small forums and I would love to be able to monitor something as large and wonderful as Distant Horizons. I consider myself an pretty nice person, so I won't have any temper tantrums. I am also a multi-shipper, so I can see views from most ships. I am online usually every day, and I am usually on the Relationship Board. I have some experience with monitoring, so I would be pretty good with monitoring something the size of the Relationship board. I am also a goody-two-shoes, and try to not get in trouble and follow the rules. I am a die-hard Avatar fan and my favorite part of the fandom is shipping, so I do spend most of my time of DH here in the Relationship board. I am somewhat an older member on DH compared to some, so I know most of the members here. I try to point out misplaced threads to the creator of said thread, so I can tell what is spam and what isn't.
