Oh trust me...I had quite the spaz. "SUKI YOU BOYFRIEND STEALING [censored for your protection]---SOKKA IS MINE!!! Er...for Yue." Lol...I started cracking up when my brother said that if he had been Yue, he'd of flipped Suki off from the moon or something. I thought it was slightly immature, but hilarimous, nonetheless. SD

I started freaking out when they were kissing! I mean, I was really sad when Sokka turned Suki down under the moon, but it hasn't been that long since Yue died! It felt right for him to say her couldn't. Longer grieving period before he goes out playing tongue hockey again! *calms down* I mean, I guess he needs to move on because Yue will never be able to have a relationship with him in this world. But could we have maybe gotten Yue's opinion on this? It's not like she's dead! And Aang being the bridge between the worlds...

Seriously, I wish something could of happened for Yue to tell Sokka to move on and love someone else. But to not forget her. Remember her and love her, but still have a life. Not go tonguing the first girl he sees. But what can we expect from our player Sokka? *fangirl glompage* He's a pimp. SD

^ That was what I wanted to see too. I think it'll happen though. Yue isn't gone as a character. But can we get some closure to their relationship, pleeez? Sokka's being such a pimp (XD) she's gonna notice. "I'll always be with you" does not exactly define where they stand...

Yeah...I think I need closure before I start fully shipping another Sokka pairing. This memorial to their love is still here and will be treasured until we get closure from Yue. But even then, I will still treasure the ship.

But even then, I will still treasure the ship. Ditto. I mean, of all the other Sokka ships Tykka is my fave. But I don;t really want to ship it at all until we get closure. And even then, Yue's influence will never really be gone.

Here's food for thought - If Yue now resides in the spirit world, then during the Solstice she would be able to cross into the physical realm once again - as the separation between the two worlds is thinnest at that time.

Good theory, Growly.
Also, true love does not die. Period.
However, it's debatable with Sokka, as he seems to fall in love in every episode. Yue may always have presence in his heart, but it obviously doesn't stop him from flirting, does it? XD

XD For the most part though, he hasn't let any of the girls get to him as much as Yue (and to a lesser degree, Suki) have. I think his flirting is just a way of reassuring himself of his manliness or something. The same sort of thing as making muscles at himself in the water, I guess.

Possibly. Yue and Suki are his most serious ships, and Yue's sacrifice has shown some lasting damage on Sokka, so I'm glad they're keeping that in mind--at the same time, it's kinda bothersome that he's so flippant when flirting with others. You're right, and in my mind, it's almost as if he's forcing himself to move on, but he can't quite do it yet...

I think it's just him trying to be strong and prove that he's over her, but as the scene in the moonlight showed, it's not quite as easy to be "over" someone you've lost as everyone seems to think.

Got it in one, Growly. If they just develop more of the Sokka that's forcing himself to move on rather than Pimp!Sokka, I'll be happy. It's hard for me to get a feel for Sokka when they keep throwing in actions that contradict what was presented before.

Can I link to them from the main section of the Sokka/Yue thread?
