Reiko opened the door and peered into her seemingly empty room. She set down her luggage and began to unpack, softly humming a song from Ba Sing Se and squealed in pain as she closed a dresser on her thumb.
Technically, she was old enough and ready to take the exams at Ba Sing Se University to be declared a master, but she failed to do so as she was too busy burrying herself in a book, volunteering, or working at the university.

"Room four, huh?" questioned Mei looking at her schedule. Her slender hands held her printed schedule. She fixed the doffle bag that hung over her shoulder. She gave a sigh and began her walk into the new life that was forced upon her.

Principal Fatou walked along the halls, looking for any wayward lost students. It was a privilege to be able to start up this fine establishment again. Students were just starting to arrive, and she hoped that they would all enjoy themselves here.

Leah couldn't help but stare when she arrived at the Center. She took it all in, the students arriving, the teachers bustling to get ready for the first day, everything. When she reached the entrance, Leah took a look at the paper with the room assignments.
Ziarre? I wonder who she is. Leah sighed. It doesn't matter anyway. I might as well start to get settled. She took a sheet and began to head for the eastern wing of the Center. Leah was approching her room when she saw that the door was ajar. I guess my roomate is here. Leah took a deep breath and entered the room.

"Room four, huh?" questioned Mei looking at her schedule. Her slender hands held her printed schedule. She fixed the doffle bag that hung over her shoulder. She gave a sigh and began her walk into the new life that was forced upon her. She began flipping through her schedule and sighed in disappointment. There didn't seem to be any record of it in the information packet. "I wonder..." Reiko told herself softly. She grabbed her room key and shoved it in her pocket, then closed and locked the door behind her, then looked to see someone at the room near her. "Um, hi. I'm Reiko Su Ning. What's your name?" She smiled.

Mei gave another heavy sigh as she turned the door knob to her room. She opened it slowly with her eyes closed tighly, as if it would make the day better. As the door slide open in a taunting way, Mei slowly closed her left eye. "Ugh!" It was simple. Boring. She walked inside and threw her bag unto the bed closest the one window. THe bed make a cracking sound as the doffle bag landed on it. Mei smirk and then sat on the bed. Heh! How weak. So what if there are two 60 pound weigths in there? It's nothing compaired to the 200 pound ones I used to lift back home.
She gave a sigh and stood up. She walked toward a small wall mirror. For how strong I am, I look like a twig! She huffed and turned to her bed. "This is going to be some long years."
She jumped when she heard a voice behind her. "Oh. Hi. I'm Mei."

Lan-Fen Ping yawned as she walked down the hall. It seems nice. she thought, surveying the area. But, even if it was nice, it probably was going to be boring. She sighed as she looked at each door, trying to figure out what room she was in. Hopefully, her roommate would magically not show up, so she could have the room to herself and take a nice long nap.
"Room five. . . room five. . .room five." she muttered to herself. Lan-Fen finally came across a door with the number five on it. She adjusted her duffle bag on her shoulder before reaching out and twisting the knob. It seemed that someone had been in the room before, but had closed the door behind them. The fifteen year old threw her duffle bag onto the ground and looked around the room. She placed her hands in the pockets of her jeans before peeking out the door. There seemed to be people already here. "Um. . . .Does anyone here live in Room 5?" she asked, awkwardly. If I get this whole meeting people thing over with right now, I can go back to the room and work on my painting for the rest of the day. she decided as she waited for a response.

Reiko had a small smile on her lips and peered into Mei's room. "The Fire Nation Capital? By the way, I'm an earthbender. From Ba Sing Se. What type of bender are you?" She asked. Reiko was normally reserved and shy, but she figured she'd need at least one good friend for the time she'd be here.

Mei gave a small giggle. "Um no. Just some weights," she said. And I'm a fire bender," she smirked. She then gave that a thought. Earthbender. They're histories didn't work well. "Um. So I think I hear another living person in these halls," she said pointing behind Reiko.

I'll see you around." Reiko gave a small wave and peered into her ajar room. She saw a female in her room. "Hi. I'm Reiko Su Ning, I think we're room mates, that is, if you are Lan-Fen Ping."

Mei staired at Reiko for a mintue as she walked away. Oooookay. She turned and went back to her bed. She sat and gave a sigh. Now what? she wondered. She let her back fall and rest on the bed. Where's my roommate?

That's me." Lan-Fen answered, shrugging. She raised an eyebrow as she looked over the girl. She seemed. . . . . okay. Not overly annoying. But, that would probably change after she got to know the girl. You are so anti-social, Lan. You'll never be able to make friends.. That was what Ren Shu had said to her before she left. Feh. He is just jealous. she thought, trying to make herself feel better. But, his words did have some impact on her. Ren-Shu had been the one person whose opinion mattered to her and now that they had fought, she had been trying to not care about what he said. "So . . . .Where are you from?" she asked, trying to seem casual. Maybe if she made one friend, she would be saved the trouble of having to make anymore friends.

I'm here because to get into the university, I'm more likely to get a scholarship and more credits if I'm a master. Unfortunately, I procrastinated on taking the final exams because I wasn't sure I'd pass." Reiko sighed, looking at the timid person. "What about you?"

"Room four, huh?" questioned Mei looking at her schedule. Her slender hands held her printed schedule. She fixed the doffle bag that hung over her shoulder. She gave a sigh and began her walk into the new life that was forced upon her. This was a terrifying moment for Xuilen, yet also an exciting one. Her first time away from her village was sure to be scary, but atleast she was happy that master earthbenders would teach her. Perhaps this would be the moment where her notoriously bad grades could change. Maybe this would be the year I would earn my first A grade ever!As she enters the main lobby, she opens her green and gold trimmed purse bag with an earth emblem on it(or whatever you call those bag/purse like containers often used like backpacks) and opens up her letter again. Ok... so the girls' dorm rooms are in the east wing. ...And I'm in Room 4... With this Hoko girl and Mei... ok!Xuilen immediately began heading down to her room after slipping her letter back in her bag. Heh! How weak. For how strong I am, I look like a twig! She huffed and turned to her bed. "This is going to be some long years." Xuilen noticed her room door was open, so she knocked and came in. Down the hall, she sees some other girls entering their dorm rooms. One appeared to have just left room 4. Seeing the girl on a bed appearing to be her own, Xuilen decided to get to know her. "Hi, I'm Xuilen, and who're you?" asked Xuilen. Xuilen quickly spotted a bed with a lamp stool hidden from windows in a large closet like room (not really a seperate room or a closet), so she decided to bunk here. She took out a candle and put it on the stool beside her bed. Afterwards, she put up a brown and green horizontally striped curtain with badgermole designs of gold color on the stripes. As her last step of settling in, she took out a picture of her badgermole Grikuu, lit her candle, and took out a drawing pad with a drawing utencil and begins to draw.
