Crap. This is just perfect! Liu Mei thought dismally as she looked at the Yeti-thingies. They needed a plan, and now. Come one Liu! Think! Your lives depend on it! she told herself, frantically trying to think of something to do while she raised her bow and arrow.

Soba panicked.
"I-I-I-I.." The height and the fact that the rest of the group was with him. Was only adding to the discomfort and fear. "I-I-I don't know what to do?" Soba voice was tinged with fear. He was scared of his wits now, and with the height, he going to be sick." He shouted to the Yeti creatures. "PLEASE WHAT ARE YOU!? WHAT DO WANT"
Soba was shaking to the bones

Liu Mei could see that Soba was scared out of his wits. "Soba! Take a deep breath and try to calm down. If you panick, you won't be able to think straight, and could possibly die!" she called to him, hoping her tone was reassuring. Then she directed her next words at the group. "If everyone keeps a clear head we can defeat these creatures, if they aren't willing to help us."

Mali scrambled to her feet and took a few steps backwards. "Willing to help us?" she shouted, panicking. "They're trying to kill us!" She hadn't bargained for something like this at all. And I thought it was bad that we had to deal with our own part of the exam, she thought, nocking an arrow and aiming it towards the creature.
Mali thought the first Yeti had been trying to say something earlier, when it was only Soba and Shinju who were fighting. Shaking her head, she released her arrow, taking another step backwards. If only she had been paying attention instead of daydreaming!

"Well Raito said that! Although he's not high on my trustmeter right now, nor was he ever." Liu Mei replied, as she let loose arrows toward the monsters. Just take it one step at a time Liu, one step at a time. You can get through this. she thought to herself.

Shinju was shaken from Soba's encoutner with the beast, but now this? She glanced in Soba's direction, noticing his obvious fright.
He saved my life... She thought breifly before returning to the situation at hand.
Quickly, she shook Soba gently by the shoulders and pressed the bag of crystals back into his hand.
"Come on." She said gently and then turned.
Dropping down on one knee, she strung her bow with lighting speed and nocked one arrow. Pulling back the strings, she aimed for the closest monster and let the arrow fly. She had aimed for the head, but it veered slightly right and the arrow's point embeded itself directly beneath the eye of the monster.

While shooting arrows at the monsters (she had just killed one after many, many attempts) Liu Mei managed to yell something across the noise.
"If we want to get out of this alive, we're going to have to work together!" she yelled.

Some creatures fell, knocked back from the arrow (but not recieving much damage from it) they fell down the side of the stairway to a bloody doom. One creature had been blinded due to the shot near the eye. The others had rebounded and charged in, some off balanced ones fell over. Most of them tried to knock at the group but fell before they reached them. The yetis melted into a snowy white substance it turns out the sun had reached noon (in exam area time) most of the snow was melting making the slightly widened stairs harder to travel. Every step had to be taken one by one, one person behind the next, or else death was the ultimate end. As the snow and ice melted the demon angels were gone and the mist from the early morning rose.
A giant mechanical city or plathform appeared in the air, mechanical whirring sonuds could be heard screeching and twisting. The grey mass in the air looked ominous but was not too far from the crystal staircase, it was moving, it seemed, and the machine was about to stop next to the top of the icy staircase, in five minutes.
The others were approximately down one story from the top, if they rushed death would be their only outcome, but if they didn't hurry they'd have to wait another day for the platform, enough time for the yeti's rebirth.

Mali shuddered, shaken from the encounter with the Yeti-creatures. She glanced towards the crystal staircase and then up at the moving platform. "Hey," she called, to nobody in particular, since she didn't see Raito anywhere around. "We're not even supposed to be here yet!" She gestured towards most of the others. "Can't we just let Soba and Shinju finish their own test?" Upon waiting a few moments and hearing no reply, she sighed, resigning herself to taking the wrong portion of the exam. "...Well, I'm not going first," she muttered, her eyes darting around the area inconspicuously, making sure that there were no enemies remaining.

Soba took a deep breath and shook his head. Tama shrieked and Soba ran foward with renewed courage. "C'mon! Lets go!" He called out. Still shaken by the battle and more so by the fact that Shinju wasn't his only partner. The leader-like mentality he had be bestowed with at childhood kicked in, and he called to the girls once more. "Tama is leading the way, we need to move, and then in while, we can rest."

Liu Mei agreed with Soba. The sooner they reached the top, then the sooner they would be done. Liu Mei began to run, and nearly slipped and fell to her death. "Oh my gosh!" she shrieked, steadying herself. "Guys, we have to be really careful going up these stairs. They are really slippery from the snow. One false step and we'll be having tea with the spirits!" she warned the others as she carefully began to follow Soba and Tama.

Shinju nodded silently as she followed Soba and the others up the stairs. Looking down, she could see through the stairs, giving her an feeling of walking on air. Shuddering, she quickly glanced away and rested her eyes on Soba's back.
I wonder why the others are even here.
Taking a deep breath she stared at the strange contraption that hovered close by the top.
This is turning out to be more unusual than they said. She thought briefly before letting out a sigh.

Tama soared chittering, as Soba climbed higher and higher, unforturnally, the height was getting to him and Soba of Tu Long was getting dizzy. Soba slipped and fell on the steps and the shook his head and he strugged to gain balance again. Tama perched on his shoulder and nuzzled his neck. "I'm ok pretty girl. I'm just...." Soba wavered again and then was ready to fall. "Ok guys we can stop here." Soba panted titled his hat.
"I think I'm gonna be sick."

Liu hurriedly and cautiously made her way to were Soba was. "It's okay Soba, you're going to be all right. Just take deep breaths. It'll help you clear your head." Liu Mei advised him.

Soba growled and batted her away. "Leave alone wretch!" He winced and held his head. He did not need pity.
