This is just a short moment between Aang and Katara, the night before the final battle.

“Aang…”
She called out as he walked towards the room they were staying in. He turned towards her wearing a small smile; he had grown so much over this past year. She hadn’t really seen just how much until this moment.
“What is it Katara?” He asked cocking his head to the side, Katara moved a couple of steps until she was closer to him. He seemed a bit flustered at the action, and her continuing silence, which made Katara smile a bit.
“Tomorrow we are going to be facing the Fire Lord; it is going to be the hardest battle we have faced yet…” She watched his smile drop as he looked at her in a more somber manner, waiting for her to continue. Katara just paused again to look him over; his brown curly hair framed his face, hiding the Air bending tattoos well, combined with the foreign Fire Nation clothing made him seem almost like a different person.
She reached into the bag she was carrying and pulled out some clothing, Aang’s face grew into the look of surprise. In her hands were his old clothing, she had kept them after the attack in Ba Sing Se.
“Katara… I thought I had lost these…” He said touching the fabric gently, Katara smile lightly looking at the clothing in her hand.
“I kept them, and spent time repairing them… I thought that for the last fight… When you face the Fire Lord, you should be yourself, Aang the Air Nomad.” She turned her gaze back up to him; she felt a small blush creep to her cheeks as he looked at her calmly, there was a light in his eyes that made her feel incredibly happy despite the circumstances.
He took the clothing from her, “Katara… Thank you, this means so much to me.” He moved forward and embraced her tightly; she wrapped her arms around him in response. They stood there for a few minutes, feeling comfortable in each others arms; she rested her head against his shoulder and sighed happily.
After they broke apart she smiled confidently at him, “Now let’s go cut your hair.”
