How did you get all those dude! Thnx I was looking for them! Wikipedia and by looking the names up on freedict.com. Most of the names are Asian and since my mom is Japanese and has somewhat taught me Japanese, I know them. And here are a lot of updates for the new characters.

Great job. So saying the agent of the dai lee is like saying the agent of the agent. Makes sence.

whos sangok?? the cabbage guy? Sangok was the wimpy looking Waterbender that Katara beat at the beginning of "The Seige of the North Pole Part 1" and the Cabbage Guy is an Omashu cabbage merchant that always gets his cabbages destroyed by the gaang (once by a platypus bear).

I lived in Asia for a long time, mostly Japan, and never heard of "kyoshi" as "teacher." It may be an older usage.
I get, instead, "large capital, enormous fund" or "bearing, deportment" or "serration, saw tooth." Not sure what it has to do with the warriors.....
The Japanese word for to like, suki, is pronounced not soo-ki like her name, but more like "ski," so I don't think that's the primary reference here.
Iro means "color" in Japanese. He is a colorful character...
But the homonyms, as noted earlier, are a big problem. Because Japanese/Chinese use pictographs (kanji) rather than letters, two words that sound exactly the same can have entirely different meanings. Toss in the confusion created when you render those names in roman letters (Iro, Iroh) and, well, it's hard to say what any of it really means without knowing the creators' intent.

Good catch! Ursa is only western name the rest have an asian feel to them. I think Aang is Tagalog for "Hero" Who told you that? Man i'm gonna go ask my mom what that means hero is.

lol, Zhao is a crow, lol! Im sure the creators took their time to match the meaning of their names with their personalitys.

Just reading through this and it is all very interesting. I have to say (little off topic kinda) on another forum someone is saying that Zuko means "failure". That is a new one and kinda funny. I have yet to see that as a meaning. I am searching desperatley for a meaning of Sokka, but I have found none as of yet. I may have to pull a favor for this, I do have ways to find out.
