I liked all the seasons. But I'd have to say season three is the best. Not only does Sokka get an episode but he gets action and fights and leadership type of roles.

I chose season three..., though I could have chosen seaon two as well. I would not under any circumstance choose book one XD Not enough Azula. And yah, Sokka had an episode in S3, and in S3 it is revealed that Azula has no social skillz :D
Have to choose S3

Book 1. It's not by such a large margin, but there's still little doubt that on the whole, I enjoy book 1 more. Even if it's not as "epic" or as fan service-y as the other seasons, and it has a more episodic element to it, I enjoy it more. Probably because despite (or because of) the less plot heavy elements, the writing was allowed to be more natural. I could just be speaking from The Fortuneteller though. The animation is leagues ahead of the other seasons too. Sure, some episodes in Book 2 and 3 have been animated exceptionally, but none have yet to reach the level of some fabulous Book 1 episode such as Jet, The Fortuneteller, The Deserter or the Waterbending Master (mostly Book 1 JM animation episodes). Seriously, look! Not including the first two episodes. I think though, I might be speaking because of a few episodes and the animation quality...nah.

I'd have to agree with a previous poster - Book 1 has my heart. It's just so well-done... the establishing of the characters, the development of the group dynamics, the traveling to different areas. Book 1 really layed out the Avatar world very well, and struck some great notes. I'm really not sure how to articulate it, but it moves me in a way perhaps the other Books haven't - at least, not yet. The first half of Season 3's been filled with mis-steps (my opinion, of course), and while Book 2 was great both narratively and character-wise, Book 1 just has it all. I have to confess there's a bit of me that misses Zuko and Iroh on the ship - those were great scenes, and I miss them together terribly in Book 3.

Definetly. Season 3. Its intresting, epic, and lots of fun, and has the best character development. Everything is so perfectly executed, and I really love the fighting scenes. I think most people agree with me, because a show is supposed to get better as it gets further along. And it definetly does,
Now strangely enough, I prefer Season 1 over Season 2 however. The thrill of season two wasnt very high. Everyone was excited about it because it meant Katara could really waterbend, and the gaang was finally moving on with their plans, but in the end it wasnt very exciting (except for the indroduction of toph; that was the best part). I wasnt very impressed with the finale either. It was suprisingly lacking. Now the Season 1 ending... that was EPIC. I really loved the simplicity of season 1 and seeing everyone from the beginning.
So for me it goes: SEASON 3 SEASON 1 SEASON 2

Book One and it's originality is my heart.
We can't really say anything about book 3 cuz we haven't seen all of it yet.

I am extremely disappointed in Book 3. Book 2 and Book 1 are far more better. Of course I have to watch the episodes again in order to see if they truly fit.

Book 2 for story, if not animation/ art quality. There was a lot more beauty in book 1, but there were a few times I wasn't all that interested. Book 3 is good, but the first two were better...

The first season, first half, "Imprisoned"...that single episode hooked me. The rest of Season 1 was gold. It's going to be really hard for season 3 to top season 1 for me. In my opinion, show quality tends to fade as it nears toward the conclusion. The newest episodes have added fan service to substitue the lack of story left to tell. Season one, almost every episode had at least a little something to add to the story.

I put Book 3 down as my favourite. The episodes so far have mostly been filers, but DoBS was absolutely magnificent, and there's a lot of potential for the rest of the book. So far, it's not been the best book at all, but it will be the best book. Book 2 v. Book 1 though... I've seen both those books twice. Book 1 was great to watch both times. The animation quality is good. A lot of the episodes aren't great though. Too many fillers. And Zuko gets really annoying, being that one-dimensional punk. But the episodes at the North Pole are AMAZING. Book 2 was much better to watch first time round. It starts off well. Zuko/Iroh in Avatar state and Return to Omashu were awesome. I loved the intro of Toph. Library was good, but Desert was AWFUL. Serpent's Pass was decent along with The Drill. Now, the time they spent in Ba Sing Se is REALLY good to watch first time round. It's spooky how the plot slowly gets more and more sinister. Joo Dee still gives me the shivers I've gotta say, Book 2 seems to be better. Book 1's more classic. It shows Aang still that excitable child; Katara struggling at waterbending; Sokka a stupid oaf; Zuko that one-dimensional Avatar hunter. Book 2 shows growth in all the characters, and breaks the standard predictable boundaries set by Book 1.

Even though season 1 will always be in my heart. I'd have to say that so far season three is my favorite. Even though the first few episodes were too much like fillers for my taste.

Well...there's two episodes in season one that I'll stop everything to watch...three episodes in season two that I'll stop everything to watch...and FOUR (so far) in season three that I'll stop everything to watch...but I wouldn't call season three my favourite, not by a long shot...some of the other episodes I wouldn't watch if you paid me...maybe if you put a gun to my head...and I can't really say that about the other two seasons...

You aren't. I for one knows that The Avatar and the Firelord is probably among the 4 of Season 3. And The Beach most likely isn't...
