^^ The place Azula's spirit is in right now, I dont think Aang would risk it. She's already captured so theres no point in risking having the most powerful bender in the world absorbing and being corrupted by the spirit of a sociopath. Its like that line in No Country for Old Men : "Point bein', even in the contest between man and steer the issue is not certain."

Azula seemed broken after her defeat. I doubt she would be after revenge--or even if she was, could she really risk it? I mean if the Avatar could defeat her own father, I think she knows all too well, that he could defeat her just as easily. And Bryke said the Q/A of SC, that it was time for Azula to "heal." As for Aang taking away her bending, I doubt it. We would have known that in Sozin's Comet's Q/A.
But that's just me. ^_^

But Aang wouldn't be corrupted because he has a pure unbendable spirit no matter how bad the other person is, at least thats how I thought it worked

^^ He still could be and Ozais spirit very nearly corrupted him. As I recall, there was just one bit in his right eye that remained pure. Even accepting that Azula may be weaker than Ozai, its not worth the risk. That was my point with the quote from "No Country from Old Men". Even when attacking a mouse, you will still use the longest biggest stick you have because inspite of all the advantages of size, stretght, etc in your favour, its just not worth the risk of being bitten. Katara captured Azula with waterbending and a chain. Why take the added risk of spirit/anti/unbending?

Because Aang and Zuko are kind people who wouldn't want an insane person being able to hurt/kill her self or others. It would also serve the same purpose as doing it to Ozai because she could theoretically escape and try and regain the throne

If you take Azula's bending away, you should just kill her while your at it.

azula's Flames: Azula's Firebending was effectively immobilised by Katara with water and a chain. Arguably, Zuko could have finished the Agnikai if he hadnt been distracted by the strike at Katara. Aang wasnt needed at all. Nick.com said Azula was sent to a mental health facility where she was shes monitered around the clock (presumably to make sure she doesnt hurt herself).

Emm no she was still able to fire benf out through her mouth, nose and ears(!) pretty dangerous to try and approach her iroh.org/screencaps/ep61/ep61-720.pngThe point is Zuko wouldn't want to 'finish her off' hes not Azula and doesnt want to see her dead and now I would imagine hes very protective over her and worries about her because he is a kind person. Even if she couldn't firebend she would still be a dager to her self and others and be put on suicide watch

^^ Well thats why I just said "effectively" instead of "completely". Aang used spirit/anti/un/bending on Ozai as part of the fulfilment of his duty to the world as Avatar and I doubt he would do it on any other basis. Otherwise, he may want to start with Hama who is capable of turning her captors against themselves.

I personally think Azula is either a sociopath or she's borderline. She displays the following symptoms.
At least three are needed for a diagnose of antisocial personality disorder
1. Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest; 2. Deceitfulness, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure; 3. Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead; 4. Irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults; 5. Reckless disregard for safety of self or others; 6. Consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations; 7. Lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another.
Azula consistently displays 1, 2, 4, 5, and 7.
Or she's borderline. (five or more are required of the following)
Any five of the following nine must be present.
1. Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment. 2. A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation. 3. Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self. 4. Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., promiscuous sex, eating disorders, binge eating, substance abuse, reckless driving). [Again, not including suicidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5] 5. Recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, threats, or self-mutilating behavior such as cutting, interfering with the healing of scars, or picking at oneself. 6. Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days). 7. Chronic feelings of emptiness, worthlessness. 8. Inappropriate anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights). 9. Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation, delusions or severe dissociative symptoms
She displays 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9
