Meh, I like Azula but I’m not her biggest fan. She’s evil and makes a great villain, she was quite awesome in the season finale, but that's all she is. Girl could use some depth.

SHe's a one tract-mind person. (SHE'S MINE)
So she doesn't have much depth and character development, if she had any, it woudl have been before the series.

She's a stock character- just stays the same the whole time, doesn't change, zip, nada. Unless some kind of revelational change occurs in season 3- she's pretty much shallow through and through. We need some insight into inner turmoil or somethin.

Isn't Katara 14? Azula seems older than that to me. Ah well, she'll always be 15 in my mind.

Inner turmoil? Why does every character in a story (anime especially) only worth studying if they've got some sort of major angst? Yeah, true, it does give you quick insight as to why he/she does something or feels a certain way. But that's the beauty of Azula. You really don't know any of her weaknesses because she doesn't have angst going on, and if she does, she doesn't let it get in the way of what she's doing and where she's going. Essentially, that's how a lot of people try to model themselves.
Just because she doesn't have a sob story doesn't necessarily make her a 2-dimensional character. If anything, one could call her the personified "Fire Nation."

I like Azula. At first I didn't really like her that much but the more I watched Avatar, the more I couldn't help but like her. She's the type of character you either love or hate. I don't know about depth, but maybe there could be more to her than meets the eye. Not entirely sure about that one, but she is nonetheless a very fascinating character. Evil chick without the depth or not.

I wish we can see more of Azula's past. She just seems like the person who has a completely different side to her, that was pushed away by herself and her father. I hope we'll see more character development, or at least another side of Azula. She is defintely my favorite character. For some reason, I usually get her on Avatar personality quizzes that have her as one of the answers. I'm still trying to decide whether that is good or not. ^_^'

Yeah... Aulza I think is younger then Zuko... >> <<
and Azula's main problem was that she wasn't loved as a child, not even by Ursa really.... 'cause Ursa loved Zuko a lot more.... aleast by what we've seen, (not that Azula helped any ....she was a brat through and through)

We'll she was loved or admired greatly by her father and grandfather. She is soooo evil though its like she is not even human. No compassion what so ever.

Well, we have seen Azula and Zuko running and playing together, laughing, in Zuko Alone, during a flashback. Also in that episdode, we see Azula, Zuko, and Ursa reading Iroh's letter, laughing. Maybe there is more to Azula than we think.

^ I agree. We've only been shown one side of her, it's not like it's the only side she has.

From what I remember when Azula and Zuko were playing together and laughing, Azula was laugh at Zuko...and Zuko got mad and ran away. But I agree that Azula definatly has a diffrent side, but we probably wont see it and if we do it will be right before she dies or something. She is the kind of person who thinks that showing deep feelings like love and remorse makes you weak. And Azula would never let herself look weak.
