The makers for graphics here are a little...sad. Well, rather upset. It's quite frustrating sometimes to see what goes on.
1) Patience is a virtue
The request fillers are taking their time to make your graphics spiffy. Be patient. If they haven't made it in a few days, it could be that their program isn't working, their Photobucket account isn't working because of maintenance or they're busy. Don't jump gun and start bugging them.
2) Don't request the same graphic from 7 different makers
That's a real pain in the neck. It really makes us upset when we work hard and see you've made 3 or 4 other people do the same thing just because you really wanted it ASAP.
3) Thank you is appreciated
A nice thank you, I love the graphic is loved often. As well as using the graphic. Sure, a useless karma is usually the gift most often given, but most of the time the users don't care about that. But just disappearing, never using their graphic hurts and feels like a waste of time.
4) We want breaks!
We can't sit here making 39842343271482 graphics for you. Just request a few. At most 2, being a sig and icon. Or if you want more, wait a few days and allow them to catch up or take a break. Also watch your sig limit.
5) Wrong place to discuss
Don't enter a request thread to discuss. It spams and makes the request-filler's thread look like spam-haven.
6) Follow our guides!
Most of the time, all request-fillers have a form they'd like you to use on the first page of their thread. If they have size requirements, follow that. Same for image requirements to. And please, saying "make me a pretty mai sig and matching icon kthxbai" makes some of us want to put no effort into it. We do, but we're irritated that you won't take the time to ask. Also, be specific in text. There are thousands of fonts and it's hard to chose what you'd like.
7) No retakes please!
Most of the time, images are flattened when the request is finished. In .png and .jpg, the images are flattened and the .gif can be edited. However, .gif is for animation and is somewhat pixely, so it's not really used. Please make sure you like the images and text you'd like. It pains us to go back and make the entire thing from scratch. Most of the time, we may give a casual sorry, I can't do it. Please understand that.
8) A graphic maker never reveals their secrets!
Don't ask us on our thread how we make stuff. It's flattering, but we'd prefer you to use PMs. Or understand if we wouldn't like to share. There are plenty of tutorials for you to use and I'm sure one would point you in the right direction to one.
9) We can crop.
No really. We appreciate the gesture but cropping images for us often makes it even harder to create a decent image. We have less background and it's more difficult to blend. >.<
10) We can blend.
No really. We appreciate your attempts to...*ahem* remind us that we should blend. But we know to do that and if we're a decent graphic maker who has some experience, we'll automatically do that...without you reminding us.
11) MOST IMPORTANT: READ AND FOLLOW THE GRAPHIC MAKERS RULES
Seriously. Do it. It takes two minutes. And what do you do with said knowledge? Put it to use when requesting. I cannot stress how important this is. Yet no one does it...*sigh*...seriously, make me happy. Make the other graphic request fillers happy: read the rules and follow them.
So there you have it. I may make updates as I notice other stuff, but heh...
