VERY scary..... yeah, that evil woman will most definately show up again. I like the idea of Zuko having an older sister....(I guessed older because she seemed like she was older *shrugs shoulders*) that would be cool..... *SPOILER* Her name is Zula, and she is Prince Zuko's YOUNGER sister. According to Nickleodeon, Zuko is not totally evil (see the Blue Spirit episode) but Zula is. She's like, 110% evil. any questions? I'd be happy to answer. I am a total whiz on avatar subjects. (thanks to Distant Horizon)

www.firebender.com/water12/images/282.jpg - Monk Gyatso picture www.firebender.com/water9/images/525.jpg - Uncle Iroh picture Has anyone noticed the similarities between Monk Gyatso and Uncle Iroh? Gyatso was a father figure to Aang and was responsible for his care. In some ways Uncle Iroh does the same with Zuko. Both are very wise and well-respected by those in their nation. As everyone saw in the Waterbending Scroll, Iroh uses the lotus tile in the pai-sho game. “See you like most people underestimate the power of the lotus tile. But it is essential for the unique strategy that I employ.” While watching the Storm, I noticed that Gyatso and Aang were playing the pai-sho also. If you look closely at Gyatso's left hand you can see part of the lotus tile. I like to think that it’s foreshadowing how Aang and Zuko will come to work together. There are many similarities between them and I hope it’s more than just a coincidence.

I am not entirely sure if this belongs under theory, at least not support itself under theory, so thus I will let it exist here. I'm sure this question must habe been asked either mentally or orally but how exactly do the Firebenders created fire when the rest of the benders can only bend existing material. Given fire is more energy than matter. But is it possible that, as we know Firebenders grow very heated, that they grow so hot that they combust the air? Quite a possibility I think.

That's how I figure it. Everything's made up of atoms, so all that's being done in the Bending arts is to shift atoms in just such a way.
Water - takes water atoms and shifts/freezes/heats them.
Earth - takes carbon atoms and shifts them.
Air - takes nitrous oxides and shifts them.
Fire - takes nitrous oxides and heats/shifts them.
That's how I figure it.

None of my theories on Avatar have come true yet, but If anyone here saw the new episode "The Storm", then you hopefully noticed that there was a girl in the crowd with Iroh. She looked to be around Zuko's age, and she was SMILING when Zuko got toasted! A lot of people have been making theories about her on other boards. Not only do I think this ebil-she should suffer for enjoying Zuko's burnment, I think she will pop up again as an important charrie, and I have three facts you can see while watching the episode that'll back it up. Fact! Zhao and Ebil-she were the only ones enjoying the scene. Everyone else had a straight face, except, of course, Iroh. Fact! The ebil general who wanted to get the new recruits killed was standing behind Iroh, along with some other important-looking people. Fact! Ebil-she does not only stand out in the crowd, she is drawn quiet well. Ebil-She, Iroh and Zhao were all a tad more colorful than the other guys around them. Since Ebil-she had a reaction on her face and was more detailed like Zhao and Iroh, and she was standing up with a group of important people, I'm pretty sure we will see her again. Whether she is Zhao's daughter, Zuko's sister or a rival is beyond me. I know that's a really really long quote, but it carries a strong point. I'm falling with the people who thing quote unquote "Zula" is Zuko's sis, and that she has serious sibling rivalry gone wrong issues. I have three theories that branch off, one that denotes Ozai's character (more than it already has been), and, the one I hope I'm wrong about, one that denotes Zuko's character, and one that proves Zula has serious mental issues. (Both these theories are if Zula is somehow related to Zuko) OZAI theory: Ozai did something to hurt Zula, and so she's now glad that Zuko is finally feeling what she's felt. ZUKO theory: Zuko [accidentally] hurt Zula some how and so now since Ozai burned him she's accepting it as her revenge. SERIOUS MENTAL ISSUES theory: Zula suffers from some sort of mental defect(s) that make her overly enjoy people's pain. Or, maybe no defects, and Ozai just raised her to be as big a jerk as he is, and she doesnt' understand what being nice (like Zuko used to be/ is spontaniously) is.

avatarrox, you make some good points about Zula/Azula, but there is that flashback in The Storm that showed two children playing and laughing together (which *must* be Zuko and his sister). This shows that they got along at one point, and I wonder what could have happened to tear them apart.
I have two theories on this. One: Zula/Azula began to change when their mother died, or two: as Zula/Azula grew older, she began to grow jealous of Zuko for being the heir and thus receiving all the attention.
At first I was opposed to Zula/Azula, thinking "how can someone smile when their brother is being tortured?" But then I thought about it, and realized that she is not entirely at fault if she was raised to be that way.
