I’m reading this fic now (so that explains replying late) and it's...interesting. "Angst" and "Animaniacs" are pretty opposite but it makes for good fic. The fact I have a fondness for Yakko acting like a nice older brother (it’s so cute and I’m the eldest of three too) doesn't hurt either. Yeah, the Warners and angst is usually a no-no for me too. Especially when it gets all melodramatic and sappy; the kind of thing which would normally make them go "Speeeew!" But what I like about that particular fic is that it doesn't do away with their personalities to fit in sadness or frustration or fear. It works with them. Yakko is still the in-charge older brother with a clever and sarcastic wit and a tendency to talk too much. He doesn't have to stop being any of these things to feel the frustration of being respinsible for his younger sibs. If anything, it shows WHY he is the way he his. Same goes for Dot and Wakko, and I applaud the author for managing to keep their personalities (humor included) while still providing a dynamic and dramatic story. And it helps that I'm a huge Yakko fan too. I used to have such a little crush on him as a kid. XD But I guess, being the middle child, I was more like Wakko.. Though nowadays it seems I'm Dot... What the heck, I love all the Warners!

Thanks. They make me laugh too but I’m annoyed at having "Whose fault, whose fault? The San Andreas' fault. Cause Mr. Richter can't predict her kicking our asphalt." stuck in my head. Yeah, the Warners and angst is usually a no-no for me too. Especially when it gets all melodramatic and sappy; the kind of thing which would normally make them go "Speeeew!" Heh, the funny thing is there is a sappy Christmas scene in chapter 10 and Yakko thinks "Ugh. If this gets any cheesier I’m going to be serving crackers." So yeah, keeping the characters in character despite all the sorrow and trauma is my favorite part of the fic. Yakko is still a wise talker, Wakko is still a goofball, Dot is still positive she’s The Cutest Thing Ever, and they still bicker despite only having each other. Plus, like you said, it gives explanation as to why they’re that way (for example, Dot’s "Call me Dottie and you die."). What the heck, I love all the Warners! Me too! They have such distinct personalities that play off each other really well. <3

Thanks. They make me laugh too but I’m annoyed at having "Whose fault, whose fault? The San Andreas' fault. Cause Mr. Richter can't predict her kicking our asphalt." stuck in my head. AHH! I was like that a few months ago! You know, I was actually singing that song when we found out about the huge Earthquake in Peru. My little cousins looked at me all accusingly. Although, it was hilarious when she came back from school and told me this: "We talked about the earthquake in class today. So I said 'What the heck's that mean? It means a quake, a quake! Oh really, yeah, no fake? I kinda got that feeling when the ground began to shake.' ..." It it was hilarious to hear her repeat my nonsense. XD And yes, I do know the song by heart. Actually, I think I know almost all of them. 0_0 Hey, if I could learn the Nations of the World, I could memorize ANY song. Exactly! And that's what I love about it. They are brilliant characters. I especially appreciate the fact (thought I didn't realize it when I was younger) that Dot is equal to the boys. She may be adorable and feminine, but she isn't weak or need constant protection. She holds her own and can be just as crazy as her brothers. And she isn't restrained because she's female either (which happens too often in children's shows for whatever reason). The boys may be girl crazy, but she can be JUST as guy crazy. Hey, you know what we need? We need some kind of game or challenge or something for this thread. Anyone got any ideas?

It it was hilarious to hear her repeat my nonsense. XD It sounds like it was. Yesterday I had the same experience when my sister told me that I stunk because now she can’t stop singing Animaniacs. Heh, I remember someone saying she was even worse. So, Dot defiantly wasn’t restricted because she was a girl which was good because it wouldn’t fit with her personality at all and, like you said, it’s refreshing. Trivia maybe?

I love this show!! But since a couple days have been transmitted it in the Netherlands, translated in Dutch and I find the translation and the voices terrible . I'm sorry to hear that. =( I kinda know the feeling. The Spanish version of the Animaniacs theme song had a line that really bugged me. It pretty much translates to "Dot is cute, and Yakko's not." WHAT? Yakko not cute!? Blasphemy! Trivia maybe? Sure! Let's give it a try. First person to get it right asks the next question. In "The Sound of Warners", Yakko has a nightmare about singing the Nations of the World and missing a country. Which country does he miss?

Awesome! Okay... in "All the Words in the English Language" Yakko (naturally) attempts to sing all the words in the English language. What was the last word he sang?

Zaire Since resurrecting my fandom of Animaniacs in general, I've become a Yakko fangirl. These screenies didn't (did?) help Yakko1Yakko2Yakko3Yakko4

That’s correct! You can ask the next question. Also, while those screens caps are nice, I can't be a Yakko fangirl. He’s defiantly my favorite but he's still... whatever the Warners are and an occasional cocky little punk.

which episode (or skit) ripped off possibly the most famous Laurel and Hardy bit?
I dunno why I became a Yakko fangirl - I started as a fan of Wakko, because I thought his accent was funny. The recent fangirldom is new to me.
oh I can't be the only one that knew that! Ok, here's another one (I'll leave the first one up just for kicks): Name a country that Yakko didn't name in his countries of the world song
