He will, in the finale. All of the Top 12 people will be together in the finale (can't wait to see Gina).

This is interesting. "Does Howard 100 News owe an apology… to American Idol contestant Melinda Doolittle? A source inside the show claims that American Idol was reportedly in a panic yesterday to put the brakes on a Howard 100 News investigation into voting on the FOX talent show. This source alleges the show decided to switch horses at the last minute, that contestant Blake Lewis was allegedly scheduled to be told to go home last night, until Idol producers changed their minds. Our source claiming Simon Cowell allegedly said quote “**** Howard Stern,” and added that the Idol result last night would be the opposite of what Howard 100 News reported. All of which might explain the strange subdued mood on American Idol last night. So if the last minute switch is true, Howard 100 News must apologize to the talented Melinda Doolittle. But now, Howard 100 News reports that another source has revealed a bombshell claim about American Idol; that in 6 seasons only two American Idol’s have been picked by the viewing public, according to our source. The source claims that this season, producers of the show had allegedly decided to go straight, to let viewer votes decide the winner, but panicked when Howard Stern and VotefortheWorst.com backed Sanjaya. The show then reverted back to picking the winner, according to our source. The source claims Sanjaya was running away with the competition, until producers decided to take back control and throw him off the show in spite of Sanjaya’s alleged vote victories. Bottom line here; three sources telling Howard 100 News Jordin Sparks has long been scheduled to be the winner of American Idol. Now will the producers switch that? There’s one way to clear all this up… release the vote results and prove that American Idol is run according to how the viewers vote. By the way, FOX Television has still not called us back after running off the phone two days ago." www.howardstern.com/archive.hs?h=493

Wow! That it interesting! So much for contestants winning bacause of the viewing public's votes. Like I said before, the title of "American Idol" is pointless.

Anyone who lasts till the top three will get a record deal, even if they get voted off.

So who saw the finale last night? I thought it was great! And Jordin won (which I already knew that she would). When she sang that song, and she got emotional at the end, I got teary eyed too. I may be a Blake fangirl, but I love Jordin too!!
Any thoughts?

I really loved the finale! I was so glad that Jordin won, she is really talented to be 17! I ♥ when Blake and that guy did beat boxing! Thought I was going to die when that lady in the yellow got up there

YEah, the beat boxing was one of the best parts. When they did the tribute to Sergeant Pepper, I thought that was pretty cool.

I'm so glad that Blake didn't win! If he would have it would have ruined the show. I mean Jordon is very talented for a teengaer. And despite the fact that I wanted Melinda to win, I think I'm glad that Jordon won. And think about it, she's the first mixed contestent to win American Idol! Her mom is white and her dad is black.

Yay, Jordin won! -dances like idiot-
That's all I have to say. <3 Oh, and "Goodbye Sanjaya" day is April 18th.

Some people don't realize that Blake brought something different to the stage. That's why I liked him. With everyone else, it was obvious that they were going to sing songs. But with Blake, you never knew if he was just going to sing, or add some beatboxing. I hate it when people try to indicate that he's not talented. He was one of the best performers! And his singing WAS good. Just Jordin's was stronger.

I wasn't sure whether to create a new thread, or to necropost and bump this one back up, but American Idol has started again, and we're now into Hollywood week.
I like the 16-year-old that sang "Heaven" by Bryan Adams and some other song I can't remember for my life right now. He has a really awesome voice, and stands out.
So, everyone else's opinions for Idol 2008?

As far as I'm concerned, bumping old threads is always ok in "Other Media"

I rather like Josiah, the cute lives-in-his-car kid who thinks he's British. But he kind of weirded out before his last performance, I guess we got to see a bit of the real him...
