I love this series. I haven't watched it in a very long time, though. Is it still going on? Is it still good? I will have to start picking up the DVDs for it someday to fill in all the gaps (I only caught episodes here and there across the seasons)

I like Smallville since the very beginning. It's a cool superhero show (course, I'm a sucker for superheroes and Tom Welling ) but I kinda feel like the show's quality was dying down. That was until they started bringing in the Justice League (Green Arrow and the Martian Manhunter are awesome) and now they have Supergirl, that's cool. The story arcs are getting more comic book, which is how I like it. Although I wished Lana would get over herself and die.

Smallville is an AMAZING show. The plotline every week is awesome and keeps you in suspense all the time.

I grew to like this show. The last episode I've seen is 126: Promise, the one with Lana and Lex's wedding. (Yeah, we're a bit behind in Belgium ^_^").
I don't really like the ClarkxLana thing, though. I've never really liked it from the beginning. It's kind of overrated and overdone, too. I actually like the LexxLana thing more. xD

7th season? wow i didn't really expect to go more than 4. There's no way it can go past 8 though. That's when clark leaves for metropolis and becomes superman.

Haven't been able to catch this series, due to schedule conflicts. But I really enjoyed the few episodes I have been able to catch. I really don't mind the whole ClarkxLana thing, they look better than ClarkxLois IMO with the actors chosen.
attonbitus, who knows? We might be surprised and they bring in new things that we haven't thought about yet, to stretch the series out.

New episode tonight, 5 eps left til they run out because of the strike. Anyway, I remain a fan, but I don't know... it has been going on a long time, I wouldn't mind if it ends soon.
Anyway, my favorite character has always been Chloe. It seems now and then they flirt with the possibility of killing her off, and every time I'm like "Do that, and I'll stop watching." ...but I probably wouldn't....

They would eventually have to kill her off if they want to fold this neatly into the original storyline (his later years), no? Although that might already be an impossible trick?

In the first place, the thing about comics in different media is that there can be so many different continuities, it's impossible for any of them to totally match up. Even just in the medium of comic books there can be divergent continuities, let alone all the different TV shows, movies, whatever. So I just don't worry too much about the future, especially when we don't know if the world established by Smallville will ever actually get to that future, or continue into it. It would have to be a new spin-off series called "Metropolis" or something, but I'm not sure I'd even want to watch that. But as for killing off Chloe, I don't see it as necessary. As far as I know the character never existed in the comics, but then I haven't been reading Superman comics in recent years. But... if Superman doesn't hang with her in the future, it doesn't have to mean she's dead. Maybe she just moved away. I think Clark Kent is allowed to know more people than are mentioned in the comics, otherwise you'd either have to say "oh, before I moved to Metropolis I knew exactly X number of people and no more" or else "I used to know a bunch of people but ever since I moved here, every single one of them who you haven't already met is now dead for some reason."
