Nice. Will im at it i could swear and make rude gestures.
But these ptc peoploe need to go and get a life. what are they going to do? forbid kids form going out on halloween, or just let them go out blindfolded.
The other day they were complaining about how television is disrespectful toward religion. christianity in particular. Listen, not everything on tv is the peanuts christmas special. Does anyone think they whine like that when hannity or O'reily or anne coulter rant about how evil atheists are?

I just look at this and find it hysterically funny. Now this is coming from a conservative who is watches the Fox News Channel occassionally. These parents are just absurd. Yes it is true I learned stuff about life from television but I did not turn out horribly skewed for it. Actually if these parents insist on sheltering their children completely they will only end up naive and unable to cope with the real world outside. These children could end up like this one couple I read about in Germany that went to the doctor because they could not understand why they were unable to conceive a child. The doctor discovered that neither was infertile but rather they had no concept of how babies were actually made. Now parents must decide based on the child's maturity level what to expose them to. Of course naturally children are going to rebel against their parents and may expose themselves to what they deem is what they can handle. It is a natural part of life. There is no real guarantee your child will turn out right. You will just have to accept that. That is my take on it. And yes, I do not like that some shows make fun of Christianity nor do I like it when atheists try to banish it from the public forum but like it is up to you to turn off the channel. Noone is forcing you to watch it. You don't want your kids to watch it then tell them not to. We don't need a freaken organization to tell us what not to watch. Parents ought to be educated themselves on what is on tv. I just think an organization like this shows a sort of laziness on the part of parents. They need to take responsibility and actually judge for themselves what it is fit for their children to watch. They should not just take so and so's word for it. If they are unwilling to take up the complete responsibility of educating their children than they ought not have them at all.

lol. they didnt know where babies come from. you commented that aetheists shouldnt try to banish christianity from public forum. When you say public, do you mean government funded? Because i dont want my tax money going to putting up a crucifix in front of some public school.

No I am saying that if students want to arrange their own prayer group after school they should not have to go off school grounds or like if a government employee happens to bring something of their own religion that they put up in their workspace then they should not be told to take it down. I understand the idea of not wanting your tax dollars to go to something you don't believe in. I just don't like to see people push their own beliefs on others which is what some people on both sides try to do. And the whole thing about putting up a holiday tree versus a Christmas tree is ridiculous. It is a Christmas tree for god's sake. I personally don't care if the town puts up a tree or not but saying it is a holiday tree is an insult to people's intelligence.

I agree that the "dont say christmas thing" is stupid. But then there are also those religous people who boycott wal-mart because they say happy holidays on their posters and ads. I can think of a few better reasons to boycott wal-mart. speeking of walmart, the ptc says "The actions of this corporation directly and positively reflect corporate values rooted in honor, integrity and leadership" They must be talking about a different wal-mart...
On the religion topic i agree with you on some things. A government employee should be able to bring something of their religion but only to a certain extent i feel. Teachcers shouldnt be putting up a cross on the wall or anything.
Keep intelligent design out of public schools!!!

Hahaha. Yes let us not forget that a school is a prison for children. I don't care what they put on the walls. Actually when I was in public school having more stuff on the walls only gave me something to focus on when I zoned out during math class. The ptc is a joke worth only for me to point and laugh at. I don't think they reflect my values at all and my values are define as "traditional" to some extent. I wonder what sort of people their membership is composed of. Do these people have jobs or is their time eaten up completely by making whiny and pointless complaints to Fcc. Here's a thought maybe they could use the time they have to complain to spend time with their children. *Gasp*

Heh, they probably don't.
Here's my opinion: The parents should actually start caring about their children and raise them, not let the TV be a 24/7 babysitter!

But I love my TV babysitter! *hugs TV* *TV shocks* Ow.
My school actually has something like the Christian Cross Country (a track thing or running thing, I'm not sure what it is really) and they do just fine I guess. Nothing really happens but it's a great idea.
I'm surprised they said anything nice about Wal-mart. I loathe Wal-Mart because it plans to take over (like Starbucks...) the entire market and the one near us sucks. That and all of the Chinese labour they employ because it's cheap, even though many of their labourers are kids. Wow. They just contradicted themselves. Great job, PTC!

nobody at wal-mart ever knows where anything is. one time, i asked where the bathrooms where, and the lady was like, "uh, I don't know. try over there" it turned out, the place she pointed too was on the opposite side of the store.
