I think every citizen, non bender or bender, would still be born into the nation's season, which determines which nation they belong too. So Sokka is probably born in winter, the same as Katara. Unless there was a plot twist and it turned out that Sokka and Katara wasn't really brother and sister. Then that could mean Sokka is suppose to be a member of another nation. Imagine the new shipping that would have just be opened up.

Imagine the new shipping that would have just be opened up. People can be born into any season... It's just that more Benders are born in their element's particular season. Toph could've been born in the Summer. It's possible. The show's rules don't say that all benders and all citizens of the Earth Kingdom would be born in the Spring. But the rules do state that more Earthbenders are born during Spring. And this holds true for the other three elements/nations.

Heh, I just realized something. If all the babies for a nation are born in one season, then that must mean that 9 months earlier, all the parents-to-be of that nation had a sudden onrush of...well, you know. Interesting thought, don't you think?

Well Yue's birthday was celebrated, but she was a princess, and it was more of the "Right To Marriage Age" than "Happy sweet 16!"
So I'm unsure.

It was in The Avatar in the Fire Lord when Roku died. We just see him being born for a minute.

I told my sister to ask Mike and Bryan about the birthdays and character ages when she got to ask a question in NYCC. Ended up asking about Ursa and got a "lol i cant tell you" answer.

Do we definitely know that Zuko is 17 now? I thought I read that somewhere... I wish that Avatar birthdays were mentioned. Maybe they just don't keep the dates.

Filling us in on birthdays would be great. I just don't see it happening. I will sneak in and also say that I would think that Zuko is probably pretty darn close to 17, but curiosity about the others gets to me. And I'd love to know exactly the age of Hakoda and Ozai, they don't look to be very old, I'm betting they are quite older than we think!

Ages, birthdays and other personal information such as family names are pretty much irrelivant in the show. I think it would not matter much if there would be a birthday episode or not. It would just be another filler episode.

Spiritworld I think you were pertaining to Book 2, Chapter 1: The Avatar State, where we clearly have an anniversery of Zuko's banishment.
It is strange that birthdays aren't mentioned. However we get some growing up moments.
For example Sokka's Ice Dodging. It was a right of passage for young southern water tribe men. We see it again when he trains with Pian Dow.
Zuko is always looking for some passage through Iroh, but leaves before he understands anything from it.
