I enjoyed this episode. It had action, comedy, emotional moments, all in one package.
I think it interesting that Sokka doesn't remember what his mother looked like. Does this mean that Sokka and Katara were both very little when the Fire Nation raid on their village that killed their mother occured?

I think the tension between Katara and Toph comes from that sibling rivalry kind of relationship they have...they're basically polar opposites in terms of approaching problems and approaching life, yet they complement each other because of that.... I think Toph gains some stability from Katara's "motherliness" and Katara gains a new perspective on things, a less rigid way of thinking....ironic, really, since Toph's element is earth....

The first half was so-so, but the second half of the episode was what I liked the most. I liked how they started the ep with an event, and then backtracked to tell it from the beginning. The most amusing part was how the progression of the episode gave you a totally different impression of the significance of that event. Had me going right up until the Toph/Sokka dialogue about Katara, then I was wondering. Then Katara gets her impish smile on and it all makes sense. ;D

I loved this episode! It was so funny! Toph and Katara's interaction was great, and I think I starting to ship Tokka.

I have a problem with those who say Aang should learn fire bending right now...well from whom since everyone is told who Aang is by articles and posters
Also this was plot driven as well cause it seem all these episode have big causes and small causes and so far we only seen the small effect like Combustion Man storyline

As soon as Toph said "You betrayed me!" and they panned up to show Katara saying "You brought this on yourself!" I knew something was up....it was too Zuko to be Katara...

This was a great, well balanced episode. I 'm glad Toph finally got more screen time she's my favorite character.

I thought Katara abanded the group and sided with the FN in the first scene I thought the first "first" time I saw it I thought Katara was squealing so she could teach Toph a lesson, cuse I knew she had to be doing some kind of scamming.
