Hey, y'all, good news. Avatar_Mom was lucky enough to be able to go and tour the Nickelodeon studios, and she posted a lovely report on her deviantArt account of what she saw there. She met some very nice people: among others, Mike and Bryan, Giancarlo Volpe, Johane Matte (aka rufftoon) and many more who deserve recognition for their hard work and devotion to this show ~ please see her report for the full account.

Update: a bit of studio description has been added to the entry, Also, please remember:
Please do not repost any of the photos you find in my DA account without my permission.[/u] It's a common courtesy that some forget. I would hate to throw 'water marks' up on the photos

journal excerpts:
"At the front desk we were able to meet Mike DiMartino, he is much taller in person, and his smile really does resemble Aang's. He looked sort of wiped. Working as hard as they do, I am really thankful they had it in them to meet with us that day. . .
"[Giancarlo] took us to meet Bryan Konietzko and Dao Le. I believe in the energy someone gives off when you first meet them. I am not New Age, I just tend to "feel" people. Bryan Konietzko has a very strong presence. Another perfectly charming person who looked beat down by the activities of the day...month...years. Dao Le was as sweet as always. She is really one of my favorite people.
"Mark Taylor is the VP of Nick Studios. He was just the most charming man. . . While we were outside of his office, he came out again. This time he had something for us. He gave each of us limited edition Avatar bobble heads. They were designed after the Shipping Short Chibis and were exclusive to the staff only!!! I couldn't believe he gave us such a rare collectible. Let me repeat, Mark Taylor is a fantastic man!
"I don't care what a few people say, Giancarlo Volpe is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met, which isn't an easy thing to say about people in this day and age. XD After an exhausting day, we went out to dinner with Giancarlo Volpe and Johane Matte. Need I say more than that...Godzilla sized awesome experience!. . . I was disappointed that he didn't go into one of his Animation Theory discussions that he is famous for. I could listen to that stuff for hours."
Thanks to Avatar_Mom for typing her full report up for us ~ if you appreciated it, please be sure to let her know!
