We could definitely organize "Avacon". The Gargoyles fans have been setting up annual conventions called The Gathering (named after an episode of the series) for 10 years now. The first one was after the show had officially ended production. Mind you that in between those intervening years--up until the first DVD sets--there had been nothing. You were lucky if you saw reruns. The fandom of that show has kept it going. We'd have to come up with a better name than Avacon though and the only one that springs to mind is "Avatar Day", although it is relevant it's not much better. Hehe maybe we could hold it in the midwest one year and based on it's success take it all over the country like The Gathering Of The Gargoyles do.
Anyone here think this might be a possibility in the future? Would 300-400 Avatar fans make a yearly trek to a get-together where we pay tribute to a show that's ended?
oooooo! Loving the photos! Somehow, I've simply gotta get hold of that Aang beach towel. I can just picture myself: Relaxing on the beach, getting a tan, snuggling with my Aang towel. Avatarded beach heaven!
