Seeing as a lot of people seem to need help with downloading fonts and putting them on their computer to use in Photoshop or otherwise; I made a tutorial to help. First, you download the fonts to your computer desktop, because it's the easiest place to put them, as seen here: (And if you need help with downloading fonts; that's a whole other tutorial that I might make later if people need help with that. ) Then, click with your right mouse button; and a pop-up menu should pop up. Scroll down to "Extract all" and click it. A window like this should pop up: Click "Next", and click "Next" and other buttons, until it extracts the font You'll see a loading bar; once it's done, a "Finish" button will pop up. Click on that, not unchecking the preview folder box, or whatever its called; and you should get this: Now, minimize that window, and click, "Start", "Control Panel". You should get this picture: Click "Appearances and Themes" and you should get this picture: Now, see the fonts folder on the left hand panel? Click on that and you should get this: Now, keeping that window open, maximize the folder you minimized earlier, to get this: Click and drag the font from the folder it's in to the fonts folder, and a quick, downloading window should pop up; then disapear. Now when you go into ANY program with text, you should be able to use those fonts. Hope that helps; comments and questions welcome.

^ Oh, how I wish that had been around when I started downloading fonts. It took me like, two weeks to learn how.
I hope this helps the font newbies!

@zink: I know what you mean. I had to ask Night how to do it a couple weeks ago because no matter how I tried; I could never find the font folder in any of the Photoshop folders. Night finally told me that it wasn't in any of the Photoshop folders. XD @kendra Wolf: Yay, glad it helped you. ;D And Golden Sun is another one of my obsessions besides Avatar. XD @para: XD. I just was getting so many PM's about this that I figured I might as well make a thread about it and copy and paste the link in my PM's instead of rewriting the whole thing every time.

And great tutorial, btw.

The place I go to for all my fonts is www.dafont.com It's better organized that dA, but you can also go to deviantart.com for fonts as well. There are probably multiple other websites for fonts; I'd suggest searching google for them. @para: Thanks; glad it's easy to read and hopefully won't confuse anyone. XD

XD That's exactly what this tutorial is, only going through every little teensy step. XD sladance: On dafont.com, there is a button to click that says "download". Click it, then a window will pop up; and you will choose where to save it. On the left hand side, there should be a panel and on it there should be a button that says, "Desktop". Click this, then save the font here. ^^ And yes, dafont is free; there's no way I would download fonts if I had to pay for them. <_>

night: Well one step less, whoopee. Seriously though; the only reason I do it on the desktop is because I can find the folders easier; extract the files easier; and it's just easier overall to do. ;D
