the crossroads to destiny was sad when aang was shot and everyone was sad. also the one where jet died. it was sad to me. and the library, where Toph had to make a choice to save appa ,or her friends. I agree with that. It was so heartbreaking watching Katara's face full of glee as Aang rose into the Avatar State. Then when he gets struck by Azula's lightning, her face falls into tears. That made me extremely sad. The rest of Crossroads of Destiny is quite chilling. Watching slowly as Azula and the Dai Li slowly creep into controlling Ba Sing Se. And Zuko's choice... that really astounded me. Well, I have LOTS to say about Crossroads of Destiny anyway. I wasn't too concerned about Jet dying, though. Sorry, but I've never liked his character too much. There aren't lots of particularly sad episodes. Mostly moments in various episodes. But one very sad episode, as many people have said, is Zuko Alone. That almost brought me to tears. Especially at the end, when Azula steals Zuko's dagger, and scorns Zuko, "Who's gonna make me [give it back]? Mum?" It seems to really hit him then, that he's lost the main supporting figure in his life. A VERY sad episode.

I think The Tales of Ba Sing Se is one of the saddest episodes. I think Momo's Tale is what makes it sad for me.

I thought Iroh's story on Tales of Ba Sing Se was very sad. Then there was the one where Zuko's mom disappeared. That one was sad too.
I also thought the end of The Beach was a little sad when everyone was talking about their problems.

^ The end of The Beach made me feel just horrible when they were all talking about their problems...though I was too interesting in what they were saying to really get emotional.
I think that the Crossroads of Destiny was the Saddest episode so far...though I was pretty bummed when Jet died too... -_-,

"Zuko Alone" for sure.
"The Awakening" for me in many parts was sad as Aang wrestled with 'no longer being alive.'

When aang lost appa was really sad. But for me, the saddest moment was when they were flying out of ba sing sei and aang almost died, but kitara saved him.
Also, when Jet said that he would be fine and then toph said 'hes lying'. That made me real sad.

It's a tie between Zuko Alone and The Siege of the North: Part Two.
Zuko alone was just an all around sad episode. For perhaps the first time since The Storm, we catch a glimpse of his childhood. It portrays this sweet side of him. Meanwhile, in the present, he's establishing a friendship with this farmboy. I think the worst part of the episode is in the end, where he reveals his heritage and is shunned for it.
The Siege of the North is self-explanatory. Princess Yue dies and I was just like "Woah... this is going to create problems for Sokka." It's really hard to lose someone you love...

Siege Of The North for the ending when Yua died. Sokka's first girlfriend. Crossroads also for the ending. Poor Aang was struck by Azula and injured badly while Uncle was betrayed. The Awakening for the same reason that Lisa31468 stated. Zuko Alone for Zuko being tortured by Azula Tales Of Ba Sing Se for the end of Iroh's tale. That was just sad. Lastly, The Desert mostly because of Aang. I felt for him in that episode. =(

The Storm always made me sad. Yeah, they were angsty but not overly so (like in The Beach =().
It was where we found about the origin of Zuko's scar and of course, the Gyatso thang.

The storm was very sad. Especially how Iroh was telling Zuko's past like a story. Made it a bit sadder.

In Iroh's Tale of Tales of Ba Sing Se, his visit to his son's grave was heartbreaking. I think the music helped a lot in giving the full emotional effect.
Yue's death in The Siege of the North was also very sad.

I'm considering "APPA'S LOST DAY'S" as the saddest.
We get a small history and even see flashbacks of when Appa was a small bison and Aang chose him to be his partner for life. Seeing his flashbacks was sad, now because there are no more bison around that we are aware of. Seeing small bisons was precious.

Yue wasn't Sokka's first look at a woman. Suki was way before Sokka even met Yue. Sokka did have a strong crush on Suki and even apologized to Sokka for allowing his feelings get too wrapped up. I don't think Yue would want Sokka to suffer and would accept Suki. After all, Suki came first. And usually the first one you see, always finds ways to get back to you.

Yep, i guess so, at least in this case. SOTN II was still very sad tho--one of the saddest episodes for me, as for many. (Still, for a while it was also my favorite episode--i love the deep, emotional, poignant parts of a story, so that's probably why.) I may have already said this (can't remember if i've posted on here before or not), but The Storm is one of the very saddest for me. I think it's the saddest, to me personally. Zuko's my favorite character (as you can probably guess ), and his backstory is so heartwrending (as is Aang's, tho that doesn't affect me personally in quite the same way--it's still very sad, tho). But that's the reason i love it so much. (Yeah, I like having my heart wrent on Zuko's behalf. Sounds strange, i know, but it's true. ) It also tends to make me sad when Hakoda is, well, basically being a good father to Sokka and Katara--it reminds me of how very different their relationship is from that of Zuko and his father. For a long time, Zuko wanted to be accepted by his father like Hakoda accepts and loves his children, but, well, he wasn't (not for the right reasons, anyway). So that's why I find it sad. As far as S3 goes, The Headband and The Beach (<=which I loved) would also make the list for me. I think DOBS would, too, for the obvious reasons, but also for more complicated ones, which i'm too lazy to type up right now. lol
