Oh, one more fun factoid I thought up. What brings Aang and the Gang down into the swamp is a great big ol' tornado, a meteorologically event which is said to connect the earth to the sky(air). xD! The mystery of where Shangri-La(a.k.a Shambhala) (a.k.a Paradise on Earth) hides has now been solved! The blissful and eternal paradise that many have sought to simply lay eyes on resides within Taang!

The blissful and eternal paradise that many have sought to simply lay eyes on resides within Taang! And the one thing astronauts were sure to bring with them when they travelled from the earth to the sky.... a rocket. ..... Oh yeah, and... Taang. Also, Toph's family symbol, which appears with her in the swamp is the flying pig, an idiomatic reference of an event which will never come about. Perhaps in the case the flying pig represents something Avatar fans never expect could happen. Aang turning over Katara for Toph! Ok... that one sounds silly even to me. .... Still funny though.

Legend has it that the flying boar is supposed to represent or in fact be able to travel through time in the ancient Chinese culture. That could explain why Hue mentioned that 'time is an illusion...and so is death' and strangely enough we have Toph's image appearing next to this mystical flying boar, playing and associating with this spirit, who we later learn is also her family's guardian animal.

Wow... it's getting scary how far we've gone into this. I know we have to be far beyond anything the the writers conciously or even subconciously put into these scenes. And yet, out of morbid curiousity I keep looking for connections, trying to see just how far craziness can be taken. And the scarier thing is, this all sounds so real and rational. dang... we're good.

For me, it started boring, and then evolved... into horridly sugary prepackaged love story # XXXX. Personally I ship Taang and seek out these wild and fantastical theories of subplot and symbollic imagery in a crazy attempt to find some loophole through which Avatar can escape the bland disneyesque fairy tale Kataang ending I dread in the future. At least things like this take my mind off of it for a little while.

In "The Serpent Pass," Toph's passport reads as ÍÁ‡øî^µÈ×oÕÕ±±·½ÍØܽ (t¨³ gu¨® t¨®u d¨§ng h¨´ zh¨¤o b¨§i f¨¡ng tu¨° f¨²) which translate as 'Earth Kingdom Head Class passport of Bei Fong Toph.' Here, her name means 'supported lotus,', Got it from wikipedia and thought i'd throw that in there

Dang, those are crazy theories and they all make lots of sense, even if some do stretch things a bit. I quite enjoyed reading through it all. Makes my mind jog more. Just imagine Mike and Bryan going: These fans are SCARING us... ~Shirozora

And yet, out of morbid curiousity I keep looking for connections, trying to see just how far craziness can be taken. And the scarier thing is, this all sounds so real and rational. dang... we're good. The theories and the evidence seem to fit in right perfectly with one another like pieces of a puzzle. That's scary. [/It's like watching Beyond Belief: Fact or Fanfiction, lol!]Maybe it's fatuous, maybe it's pure genius, or maybe it's just a new way of watching our favorite shows, hits, and premeires[<...Nicktoons Network slogan ] Wow this is the best theory I've ever read! I used to be a kataang during season one but it got boring (no offense) None taken. For me, it started boring, and then evolved... into horridly sugary prepackaged love story # XXXX. At least things like this take my mind off of it for a little while. Definitely no offense taken. We are entitled to our own opinion right? As for mine, I could never see Katara and Aang getting into a relationship that involved more than friendship after watching 1.03: The Southern Airtemple and witnessing the moment where Aang tapped into the Avatar Spirit after encountering Gyatso's remains... Katara: ... and I know how hard it is to lose the people you love. I went through the same thing when I lost my mom. Monk Gyatso and the other airbenders may be gone, but you still have a family. Sokka and I, we're your family now.Personally, and I don't mean to offend anyone when I say this, but I feel Kataang will be an American[i.e Cartoon; Disney; Fluff] ending for an Asian influenced series[i.e Anime; mature; dramatic]. Just imagine Mike and Bryan going: These fans are SCARING us... Mike and Bryan: These girls are CRAZY!

Wow! Karma for you lunauc!!!! I admit it....after the season finale I had pretty much lost hope for Taang. I figured....if Aang had to let go of Katara then there wouldn't be ANY hope for Aang when it came to love at all. But your theories have given me hope yet. If there's one thing we've learned so far after watching the series thus far (especially the season 2 finale) then it is to expect the unexpected. Thanks for giving me hope again!

It's nice to see so many people find this all so believeable. While I doubt the writers of the show would be influenced by it, maybe a few Taang loving fanfiction writers will.
