That factory owner guy looked like a combination of S1!Zuko and Zhao! He did, then they showed him with the Fire Nation-ish music playing and his ponytail blowing in the wind. I enjoyed this episode. It was a filler but there has to be some, and as fillers go it wasn't that bad. Sokka and his schedule was pretty funny. Katara as the Painted Lady was pretty interesting, she really hasn't had an episode that was so focused around her.

I thought Toph was punching Aang in a "dry your eyes girly man" way because he was tearing up.

The Avatar short after the episode was better than the episode itself. That was funny as h--l!
It wasn't really all bad; I thought it was okay, just the Doc/Shu guy was infuriating. I can't believe they actually revealed Katara. I figured she was going to keep it secret so she could help other people around the Fire Nation too.
@puresimplicity: I agree it would have been more realistic to have been thrown out. And they both were helping the people of the town. Maybe it was showing other nations have more hate towards the Fire Nation for what they are doing, but I still see your point and concur wholeheartedly.

Well I just do not get why she had to destroy the entire factory. That was kind of stupid thinking, all she had to do was create a seperate section of the river using earthbending and waterbending for the polluted water to go to. Then everyone would have been happy.

I know! My Tokka heart fluttered! I'm so glad they actually brought up that Toph couldn't see because I figured with the poles anchored into the earth she could get something.
Though it did make me smile because though they are in the FN and in a FN town, and Katara was outed as a Waterbender, they kept her secret.

Wait a minute...
"The Headband" focused on Aang, the "Painted Lady" focused on Katara, "Sokka's Master" will focus on Sokka....I wonder if the episode afterwards will focus on Toph?

Wow. I really hope baa-chan (my friend from school) was able to see this.
I cannot get over how awesome Katara was in this episode. She's so noble, not to mention super powerful. How can you not have oodles of respect for her? Not to mention how 133t she looks in her Painted Lady grab. Gosh, I really want her outfit now...
There was some excellent comedy in this epsiode, and not just from Sokka. Dock/Shu/Whatshisname were funny, at least at the beginning. By the third brother, it was wearing a little thin. My favorite quote of all was, "Maybe we could clean the river!"
This episode was pwnage. 'Nuff said. =3

Filler much? Only three episodes into the season and already we have a filler?! How sad.
Overall, I believe I hated most about this episode was its complete lack of a plot and it's total predicitability. I guess it was so predictable that it wasn't predicitable. I kinda liked the whole Shu - Dok bit, but it was too predictable in the end. I could have at least have stood them having a second brother pop out of nowhere, but nooooo, it just had to be so predictable that even AANG could predict it.
Very sad, especially for the dramatic preview. No plot twists whatsoever...very unlike Avatar.

This episode kinda reminded me of The Avatar Day. The whole thing was rather silly.

it seems like because zuko alone was such a hit.... i guess they want to make more character-centric episodes to try to develop them more.
but if they're all fillery........ hmmmmmm

I think the best thing about this episode was that it showed conflict within the group and within Katara...her conscience was leading her to do something that perhaps wasn't the wisest strategic move, as Sokka pointed out...nice characterization, I think... I agree, too, that Toph was great in this one... I'm really looking forward to next week's epi, though...Sokka looks like he's going to take some serious punishment...but afterwards, I'm sure he'll be doling it out...
