Both were great, but I gotta go with Crossroads. Siege's plot was very linear; yes, there were some "oh no, how are they gonna get out of this one" moments near the end, but overall it was a "the bad guys are attacking, and we need to defend our city/empire/people" plot that we've seen time and again on television (not that that's bad; it was VERY well executed).
Crossroads, on the other hand, just had twist after twist after twist. There was no "main plot" as it were, but it was just the dovetailing of several plots that were all being developed throughout the season coming together and into fruition. Plain Awesomeness.

Apart from the whole Zuko going to Azula's side, it was possibly the best episode yet. In my opinion anyway.

Season 1 > Season 2. Deep down I knew that second finale would never live up to first, in my standard's opinion... The action scenes were much less thought-out and sometimes horribly cliche, the spirit world played little to no part, the animation for The Guru was terribly disappointing, and Ty Lee and Mai sat around and watched a bear for half of the episode and played backseat to Azula, but Zuko's heart-wrenching decision to ally with Azula and ultimately betray the Gaang and Iroh all in one sickening swipe in the end was the straw that broke the camel's back. ^ The run-on the pwn all run-ons. ;D But honestly, it was a pretty good episode. Just nowhere near as good as the Siege of the North. *feels like a all too strict movie critic*

I think I like both. Because it's just so hard to chose!
Season 1 was epic because the entire world was at stake because of the loss of moon. I really liked this when I first watched it. The only thing is there could have been a lot better fighting. Sokka and Katara were first at the front gate thing then Katara and Yue were in the back of the Tribe? When Katara could have helped kick FN a**!! And Koh was the most awesome!
Season 2 was great because Katara and Toph kicked FN A**! Also because Azula is more cunning then Zhao. Because Zhao launched an attack on TNWT from the outside and Azula took the EK Capital from the inside out! ;D
I like em' both.

I'm going to have to go with the second one. The first one was great (as most Avatar episodes are) but the second one was able to shock me and feel sad/happy at times. I was at the edge of my seat for both though.

Yes, the second one was better. Though I hate Zuko, I'm hoping he's got some mastermind plan that will destroy Azula, because I know Azula is just using Zuko.

Season 2 was way better, the cliffy makes you want to watch the third season and it left us with a lot of questions that we can think about for two more months!!

The first one was better than the first. First Iroh went crazy in the first one and slaughtered the fire nation guys aroun the pond. Second they left off with Ozai talking to Azula, that was the perfect cliff hanger. and third there was just better fighting.

Season 2. Season 1's was kind of predictable. The plot was a tiny bit thin. Season 2 got way mroe into the storyline. The fight scenes were awesome also!

I choose Season 1's finale as better. It just left you literally crying for more, while Season 2's was kind of like "OH NO HE DID NOT!!!11jfhshsk!!!!", with you going for ice cream within five minutes. At least, that was how it was for me. I dunno...I trust that Season 3 will be the best, and I can't wait, but it just didn't have that much of a wow factor like Seige of the North did.
