Ah, since I just finished Zuko and am going to make Toph next, I thought it was time I made one of these threads. ^^;
I make crochet dolls that look like Avatar characters, mostly as prizes for DH's annual Avatar Pumpkin Carving Competition, although I also do commissions. It takes me around 1-3 months to finish a doll, depending on the detail difficulty and whether I've done the design before or if I'm making it up as I go along. (although to be honest, figuring out how to make the design is partly what makes it fun. ) All of the dolls can stand by themselves, thanks to Becchin's core person pattern.
This is the first Korra doll (6.5 inches) I made for the 2011 APCC contest:
...and this is my improved version of the Korra design (8 inches) along with Naga (4 inches) that I made last summer (2012) on commission:
I also just finished a Season 1 Zuko doll (5.5 inches) for one of the 2011 APCC winners:
I'm making a Toph doll next for one of the 2012 APCC winners, and plan/hope to make some for this year's contest although I haven't decided which characters yet. There are additional pictures and some of my other crochet dolls/amigurumi on my DeviantART page. I'm also on Tumblr.

For last year's APCC I made 2.5-inch amigurumi doll keychains of Korra and Jinora for two of the winners. I hadn't gotten around to editing the photos until recently though. I'm trying to start one of Aang in his DOBS-like outfit from the graphic novels, and hopefully a Naga and Pabu for this year's prizes.
Also here is the Toph amigurumi (5.5-inches tall) that I mentioned but didin't post. (Also an APCC prize)
