"The Hill" by Marketa Irglova From Once
So I've been kind of learning this song on the side whilst delving into some more important audition pieces for future productions around town. But I do love it. It's simple but emotional and effective. So! I went to YouTube and some other karaoke outlets in order to grab a track to do a cover.
No such luck. The track was so underground before the musical and now it's so new that there's not an instrumental out there, really. There are a couple on YouTube, but not any effective for singing. And if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself! So I sat down and learned this song in the past couple of nights.
I spliced it together a bit, as with my small hands, they get very tired with the octaves in the left hand, so there's a couple of clicks and pops (I also think my mic might be on the way out which saddens me greatly), but I'm very pleased with the final result.
Also, if you would like to use the instrumental, drop me a line with your email and I'll send it over. I know how much of a pain it can be to want to cover something and not have any way in doing so. Please credit me if you do use it, however.

Wow, very pretty! And congrats on learning/playing the instrumental too, that's great!

It was my own personal project in hopes of getting my left hand more apt to the piano. It's progress.
