This was the first bad episode, IMO. What a disappointment. Childish, predictable. And yet, once expectations disappear, this episode grows on you. All in all, this is one of the lower quality ones. King Bumi rocks. Heh heh
I give it props because it gave us our first glimpse at Earthbending, though.

This episode was.......eh......
although I definately admit that the whole Aang dressing as "Bonzu Pippenpaddleopsicopolous III" was funny. "My business is my business, and none of yours! I have half a mind to flip you over my knee and paddle your backside!"
and the cabbage merchant was funny. "MY CABBAGES!!" hehehe...
King Bumi was........strange. There's no other word for it. but it's strange in a wierdly cool way!
I want one of those little bunny rabits for a pet!! ^-^

I liked the kangaroo island joke, and when Bumi told Aang to guess his name sokka was like: "I know, Rocky! You know, because of all the rocks?" (random coughing) Katara: "We're going to keep trying, but that's good backup!"

I must say, it seems like alot of people rather disliked this episode. Say it is more childish and predictable. Well, that may be so but for heaven's sake it's beautifully entertaining. We get to see an Earth Kingdom City for starters and it's just as fluid as every other episode. But what really stood out about this episode is it was fun, plain and simple, fun. It was a break from everything that had been going on and it was madly funny in a very..corny sort of way. We can't expect Avatar to be all about story and plot and twists and turns and character development, sometimes we need to stop, laugh and enjoy how truly beautiful this show is on downtime.
