Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

I saw this film in the cinema yesterday and I absolutely loved it. :3 There were a few things that kinda irked me, mainly that the movie is considered a prequel to the previous movies but it feels more like a reboot since the continuity of some important elements wasn't correct. In a way I felt they should have completely made it a reboot, like Batman Begins. Despite that I do have to admit I did like the special guest cameos of Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Romijn.
The plot was great. It wasn't omg-so-deep but it was very solid for an action flick. To me this movie was mostly about the intriguing frenemy relationship between Erik and Charles, and they certainly delivered. Despite there being many allusions to various ships, Erik/Charles was definitely the true OTP.
All the actors were great, except for January Jones as Emma Frost. She was a bit of a let down. She just stood there, monotonously, and it made me miss the snarky, intelligent Emma. But despite the bad acting, they did wrote Emma as the BA that she is.
Lastly Michael Fassbender is so hnnng.
What were your thoughts on this film, DH?
