New episode... FailsafeI knew from the onset that it wasn't real...had to be a training exercise or some bad guy messing with their heads...or then, that maybe it was real, and like Wally and twig, that there was more to the aliens than initially thought and they were transporting everyone somewhere else for some reason, but the fact that an apparent covert team went so very public didn't sit well with the whole premise of the show, so I went back to thinking training session/bad guy manipulation... I thought it was cool, though. Showed just how dedicated the kids were to sacrifice themselves for the greater good...and just how dedicated to Artemis Wally is ^_~ And then the ending came...and all I could think was "Oh, goodie! Miss Martian is now an even bigger Mary Sue than she already was!" Apologies to anyone who likes her...but if they keep down this road she's gonna end up like Emma Frost to me. I had no real opinion of her one way or the other, then Grant Morrision got a hold of her, and his total adoration of the character made me completely LOATHE her. To this day, even though he's long gone from the X-Men books, I can't stand the sight of her. I avoid all books that she appears in...which was 'darn' hard when I used to read the X-Men. I'd hate for that to happen with Young Justice, but she could ruin the whole series for me. It's like The Ship I Cannot Name all over again

Re: Failsafe I personally loved this episode! Mind was blown at how this show continues to impress me with its excellent writing. I loved how they gave an awesome twist to the it-was-all-a-dream-cliché and how well the characters and the relationships are being developed. The fact that it was Artemis' "death" that completely shocked M'Gann was actually a big d'awww moment. I adore their bff-ness. The only thing that bothered me a bit was, despite loving Wally's reaction to Artemis "death", it felt a bit rushed in the Spitfire development. And Nandi, I wouldn't cry wolf too soon. I agree that M'Gann's powers may feel Mary Sue-ish, but she has the same powers Martian Manhunter has (minus the intangibility), only her telepathy is stronger than him. But it fits here because, at least that's how I see it, she feels emotions strongly whereas Martian Manhunter has always been more detached. Besides her uncontrolled power had an impact on the entire team here, so this plotline could be very compelling if done right... and this is Gregg Weisman here. The man behind Gargoyles and WITCH, both of which had great continuity and development, so I have faith in him. Lastly, this fic here is a must read! It's post-failsafe and handles each member dealing with Artemis and her earlier "death". Very emotional but very in character.

Nand is good at jumping the gun...but her instincts are often correct...but she did love Gargoyles to death...so...

Thoughts on Disordered and Secrets: Disordered: I was honestly dreading how the follow-up of Failsafe would go, because that ep blew my mind, but they didn't fail to impress me. I really loved the therapy sessions, even in a few minutes we got a bunch of Spitfire, and I really want to give Robin a hug. It's actually a good thing that he isn't the Batman but I can imagine that it must devastate him.
Secrets: I really love the friendship between Zatanna and Artemis. So HBICx2. The little kicking Equus asinus all over town montage was great, and the way Zatanna repeatedly wanted to be Artemis' confidante was sweet.
I kinda dread Wally's reaction to Connor/M'Gann, seeing how Artemis reacted. But then in Failsafe it was like Wally already knew on some level. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.
It's really nice to see how well Connor's personality is developing and how he's opening up. I loved his mischievous streak.
I wish this ep aired around Halloween, though. The Harm storyline was really creepy and I feel really bad for his sister. I hope her spirit can move on now.
Lastly, wow, I had no idea Robin knows about Artemis background. It actually makes me ship them more, considering he knows about it and still accepts her and bonded with her during the Homefront episode.

Zatana has Robin's heart, or at least his attention. Also, I think Robin had known for a long time, since he played that joke on Artemis at their school.
Did anyone know that Secret (Harm's sister) is actually a DC character and the events in the storyline are similar to what happened in the main continuity? Chilling but interesting. She's supposed to be a Young Justice member too.
Also, regarding Disordered, I like how Megan reacted to Black Canary's "white" comment; it was an "ohlol" moment for me because I thought all cartoons were insanely PC nowadays.
Re: Nandi/Megan: I feel like Megan is more synonymous to Jean Grey, though I am not too familiar with the character of Emma Frost.
Edit: The episodes aired right? We can stop using spoiler tags right?

I wasn't comparing the characters, Horyo, rather the situation.
I was totally indifferent to Emma Frost...the White Queen...until Grant Morrision made her front and centre of his take on the X-Men, where I came to LOATHE her. I didn't care for his take on the character (or how he made adultery A-OKAY (she had an affair with Cyclops when he was married to Jean...with no real repercussions!)...or any new characters he created...or any of his storylines...or...well...just anything he did on the X-Men, really)...and when she was so in-your-face present in every single issue...I was just being force-feed something I simply couldn't stomach. I dropped the title because of her.
Megan...well...I wasn't all that interested in as a character to begin with...and with her getting so much focus and becoming so ridiculously overpowered to the point that she's overshadowing the characters I do like who barely get a foot in the door in preference for her...I can see myself coming to loathe her as much as Emma.
And for the record...I never much cared for Jean either...though I remain indifferent towards her...possibly because she hasn't been seen in the X-Books for over a decade...in preference to the aforementioned Ms Frost...

I'm actually looking forward to Megan's development, mostly because canonically, she's a white martian, and her denial isn't helping the case either. I also want to see her become an enemy, or at least, antagonist of the team. I don't really like her that much either, but if this were the situation, I'd probably be a big fan, just because it's going to add some tension. Also, I hope to see Cheshire more. She's still my favorite.

Finally arrived on our Cartoon Network and I missed it! Well...the first episode anyway.
Cartoon Network gave it no plugs whatsoever...never saw an ad...they didn't have those annoying little characters wandering over the screen pimping their show when you're trying to actually watch something...and out printed TV guide doesn't bother to list the kids channels so I didn't get to learn about it from there either!
And they're not repeating it the next day like they do with pretty much all their other shows...except the new Thundercats...which I only knew was starting because it get a little tiny write-up in the two pages the TV guide donates to the new stuff on the kids channels.
I'm kinda ticked off! I'd be totally ticked off if one of our free-to-air channels wasn't starting it this Saturday...
Bloody filter...what it filtered with didn't make sense!

Aw, bummer! You'd think it would have gotten more advertising. That's good that it's at least airing now, though. I missed the last few episodes; but hopefully my local CN will have a marathon before the new episodes start.

Cartoon Network has it on once a week...Friday nights...right after Thundercats...which I watched...they didn't even say it was coming up next! If they had, I would have stayed and watched it rather than gone off to have a shower (I came out all clean and saw Robin and Kid Flash and just pointed at the screen in disappointed disbelief).
GO!...the free-to-air channel that will be airing it...will be showing it twice a week...Saturday and Sunday mornings...so it's going to be ahead of the network that actually owns it in a week.

So it seems CN is starting new episodes again, I managed to catch Misplaced this past weekend. Some thoughts: It seems the theme is continuing for the kids having to majorly step up in absence of the adults. Which, I guess, is really the only way they can in order to not have that safety net. Really good episode though, and I love how it made use of Captain Marvel's unique ability. The guys rescuing all the little kids in the early half was pretty adorable, and of course the adults are going batty on their side of things. -_-; But it looks like Zatanna will be a main-stay for a while, which while great, is too bad for how it happened. I feel sure that plot thread will be picked up again, though. Is it possible she can still talk to her dad through Dr. Fate, assuming she can find him? It wouldn't be the same, but, I imagine any communication would be better than none.

Latest episode...can't watch it because Warner Bros seem to have become YouTube [insert derogative word of choice]s akin to Viacom...but I read about it...and... *takes deep breath* BEAST BOY! Or rather Garfield Logan...who will become Beast Boy...or maybe he did...it wasn't mentioned in the review/synopsis thingy I read...but that would have been pretty major, so I'm guessing he didn't... Oh...and the truth about Megan...yeah...we all pretty much suspected that...

re: @nandi, and also thoughts on ImageOMG, WHAT! That's who that kid becomes? Ooh, my gosh! That's awesome and so relieving. I felt so bad for him and Megan when his eyes changed colors, I thought something terrible was going to happen. But so he becomes Beast Boy, because of her shape-shifting powers, oh that's so cool! I hope that means he'll come back in later episodes/next season. I adore Beast Boy, or at least the Teen Titans!Cartoon version anyway. But Garfield was pretty adorable in this episode too, so I'm sure it'll be good. ^^
As for the rest of the episode, I thought it was really well done. I hope you'll be able to watch it Nandi, because a synopsis cannot do this episode justice. (....though no pun intended.)
I thought the whole thing was compelling, especially regarding Megan's side of it, but there was a nice nod to Robin's leader issue too, and the ending with Queen Bee should be really interesting in later eps. I also really liked some tiny progressive things that the writers did, like mentioning Queen Bee's power to enthrall could also affect some women, or that Megan's 'Hello Megan' form was how she felt on the inside. :3 The part about how that old show really helped Megan through hard times was also a sweet nod to fans in general. I also absolutely loved how the writers connected a number of things to 'Hello Megan,' I thought that was really cool. xD It still keeps some DC things canon (like Superboy/Conner's name), and yet makes it their own. I love it. ^^

I have found a new place that isn't YouTube to watch it...where I should also be able to watch a certain other show...so all's good.
Of course, given that two episodes air a week here at the moment, we should be catching up with the US sometime after Easter...
And I took look forward to seeing him again...he's just too adorable!

Ah, I'm glad you found something that worked! That's great about the tv airings as well, though realizing how soon Easter will be here is kind of stunning. Of course February feels like last year, so... I'm rambling. Right?? Such a cutie. Though his mom said he was eight years old, so does that mean he'd have to wait a few years before he could join the team? Robin's the youngest at thirteen, right? But wait, the Captain Marvel kid seems pretty young too. So maybe there's still a chance of Garfield helping out once he gets used to his powers? Or joining the team to learn...?
