Well, people outside of the U.S. may have a hard time seeing the trailer, but who knows, maybe the same thing will happen with LoK as it did with A:TLA--it'll be released in other countries before the U.S. Thanks for putting it up. Spazzing here watching it.

I haven't heard anything official but my personal headcanon is that Toph is too badass to die and is actually immortal.

Well...I thought she was too badarse to become a mummy, but that's been totally blown...and I thought she and I were such kindred spirits...probably because I pretty much play her as me at Hou Tian

Oh my goodnessss. Reading all this gave me such an intense adrenaline rush. I haven't felt this excited in ages, or so nostalgic for that matter. God, I miss Avatar. I also heard somewhere that Toph is still alive? Is that just a rumor or was that also confirmed at ComicCon? Toph is still dead as far as we know, but her daughter is going to be in the new series. Here's all of the info they released from the panel: avatarthelastairbenderonline.com/airbender-legend-korra-panel-news/

I haven't been here in ages. Great to see some people still here. Very excited after seeing this trailer in several places. Thankfully, people have been able to slow down the trailer to its more normal pace and put it on YT. I'm really curious as to which character is connected to Zuko. When I first saw the character, Mako, doing all that firebending in the trailer, I thought he looked a little like Zuko. And when someone mentioned in another forum that he and his brother were the ones fighting Korra in the animation test footage, I noticed then that it was Mako who was using the broad sword. ... o.o .... The oddest part of all this is that Mako is a firebender and his brother isn't..... So, their parents must be mixed benders? Unless, one of them is adopted..... ( I still think it'll be interesting if Zuko actually got reincarnated...in some way. That way we get to know what happened to his mom. )

Well, I'm sure Zuko produced heirs to his throne if you know what I'm saying . We'll see I guess. And they did say in an earlier interview that we will find out what happened to Zuko's mom

I think it will be interesting to see what kind of interaction/ if any, all the descendants of the Gaang have with each other. Judging by the pictures of Tenzin and Toph's daughter there seems to be quite an age difference though. I also wonder if the Chi blocker henchmen learned their craft from Tai Lee. By the end of the series she had turned to the good side, but I could see her still having a little resentment because of the way Azula treating her and Mai as non-benders. Of course I could also see her just passing the skill on to her children and it slowing gaining in popularity. tg: I'm really wondering about Zuko's descendants as well. I'm sure he'll have at least one in the new show though.

There does seem to be quite an age difference between Tenzin (Aang and Katara's youngest) and...well...Bei Fong is apparently the name she was called...whether she's known by her surname or she was named Bei Fong to keep the family name going, I don't know. Toph travelled a lot so she probably didn't settle down until later in life, if she ever truly did, so she probably procreated a lot later than the rest of the gAang. And we don't know for sure just how old Bei Fong is. She could be older than she looks, earthbenders can be fairly long-lived. She could be in her forties, and even then, Toph would have had to have had her at about the same age. If she's head of the police I doubt she's really young...she would have had to climb to the rank.
On another topic. We all know Dante's playing a character connected to Zuko. Mako and Bolin could be his grandsons...or even great-grandsons...so it could be either of them. Personally I think it'd be a hoot if he was Bolin rather than Mako. Of course he could also be playing a character that hasn't been mentioned yet...

I wouldn't be surprised if Toph were a single parent. Well, Dante would have to be someone else. Mako is being voiced by David Faustino and Bolin by P.J. Byrne last time I checked.

So United Republic City was founded by Aang and Zuko . So our earlier theorizing about the Gaang forming the city turned out right. And another theory of mine of the possibility of there being diverse bender gangs will turn out true but in a step further that I didn't originally anticipate. multi-bender families! This is so awesome! The anti-bender revolutionaries are called Equalists? Hmm so are they fighting for equal rights? Equal representation? If they are by implication deprived of these things, then does it mean that they were oppressed to begin with? More theories appear to be confirmed.. but we'll have to watch it be sure. The plot thickens!

Would have been cool if he was Bolin, though... And yeah...I can see Toph's kid being the result of a one-night-stand...or at least a non-married-to-her lover. Can't see that girl settling down like that...

When I read that Toph had a kid, I about died. Her daughter sounds almost like she could be on the bad side....with the fact that she works for the police. But the Equalists are obviously separate from the police by a long shot.

She could be a bit like Long Feng, I suppose...trying to stop Neo Team Avatar from causing a ruckus, but also against the Equalists.

yes she could be... but that depends on whether she would go against her mother (Toph). She could be a little like a female version of Zuko, torn between sides? while pretending like she knows what shes doing. (a trait I'd say Toph has)

She's probably neutral good. As a bender, she'd obviously be against the Equalists...but as a law enforcement officer she'd be against Neo Team Avatar's shenanigans...because you know they're gonna get up to all kinds of shenanigans. I can't see her putting up with their crap.
