(and im kinda eager 2 c what Tenzin looks like) ahhh! Precisely...those who do, will...those who don't, will stick to fan stuff...I have much fun at Hou Tian as both Mai and Toph, where the events of Korra are very unlikely to occur...

There just better be some dang lightning... yes....lightning=awesomeness! im just hoping that some of the new bending types will be integrated into this new series..(ie: energybending, bloodbending, metalbending) i just really wanna see the bending advance...not so much the technology though. I am not so sure that bloodbending and metalbending would progress very far beyond those who originally discovered them. For bloodbending I cannot see Katara ever teaching that complicated and dark technique. It's too prone to abuse and any acts perpetrated by a practitioner of this art can safely be considered evil. Metalbending may have been taught by Toph to someone, but that complicated a style of earthbending I can see as something that Toph would teach to only her most talented and worthy earthbending students. (If she ever took being a teacher seriously) Not to mention if it became a master to student secret then it isn't likely to be taught to just about anyone willing to learn like in a traditional Chinese/Japanese dojo system followed by the series. Energybending maybe taught by Aang to someone of sufficient talent like the next avatar, but Aang is already dead so that does present a complication. And as shown by the only people who practiced it (Guru Pathik, Huu, the last Lion-Turtle and Aang) and who happen to be the same people who knew about it in the entire series I'm seeing that as kind of slim. It is considered an almost dead form of bending for a reason. I am very eager to see how technology progressed in 75 years since the original series aired. Not to mention the possible steam-punk vs. bender battles that will likely arise from the setting.... Mhmmm ;D Thou'st believe we all need to chill-st with thee Old English why doth we need to fight? we all have an opinion...and if ur not interested in the new show..thats okay...if ur interested thats okay 2. its just an opinion and if Nand doesnt find the new show interesting it doesnt mean u cant. its a personal choice 2 c the show/not. but i really just need more info soon..cuz i wanna know more! (and im kinda eager 2 c what Tenzin looks like) ahhh! Im guessing bald headed dude with an arrow on his head. I wonder who he would resemble more... Aang or Katara? Or maybe he will resemble Sokka or Hakoda or Kya... Anything is possible.

I doubt it; benders eyes tend to relate to their nation. Waterbenders traditionally have blue eyes, while airbenders have gray eyes.
Also to whoever said Toph would teach Metalbending, I highly doubt it since she was only able to perceive the impurities in the metal because of her blindness. And seeing as she didn't even teach Aang how to do it, I doubt she'd be able to pass it on to any other student either.

I doubt it; benders eyes tend to relate to their nation. Waterbenders traditionally have blue eyes, while airbenders have gray eyes. That's true as far as traditional ancestry is concerned, but as far as we know we've never heard of two benders of different nationalities having offspring together so the odds of genetic diversity in the offspring are high and unclear. Will they have blue eyes but can bend air? Would they have gray eyes but can bend water instead of air? What we know from the setting information is that the eye color of a person are color coded to indicate their nationality but I don't know for sure if it's also indicative of their bending ability. Until we see what Tenzin looks like we won't know for sure if a persons bending ability follows the color coding trope and even then I think the real definitive source of info would have to come from Bryke themselves. Also to whoever said Toph would teach Metalbending, I highly doubt it since she was only able to perceive the impurities in the metal because of her blindness. And seeing as she didn't even teach Aang how to do it, I doubt she'd be able to pass it on to any other student either. That much is true but Toph has shown that she did teach Aang to see with Earthbending by blindfolding him, so it's not too much of a stretch to consider the possibility that she might have taught metalbending to Aang at some point beyond the story of the series. And if seeing with earthbending can be taught, then depending on if you were talented enough and worthy enough to be taught by Toph then they could conceivably be taught metalbending. But like I said this is mere speculation at this point and with the sensei system of education in the series ensures that only a select few people will ever be taught at any time due to how talented the earthbender is and how worthy they were in the eye's of the sensei.

I don't mind at all about this recent rumor, the further separated from the original this series is the better. I would hate if the creators just focused on the same thing over and over.

Meh, I wouldn't mind it if the time skip was longer, but right now it seems a bit ridiculous that strong characters like Toph would only live to be 80 years old.

Even after seeing all the new info, I'm excited to see Korra's adventure. I will admit that I am sad after seeing the dream crushing spoilers, but I have mixed feelings about it. It sucks about the dream crushing spoilers and I'm sad, but (for me) I feel that in the end, I probably would have cared more about them and what happened with them, than about Korra and her adventure. I would probably be less interested in her, and then when it ended (and if something happened to her or somebody close to her) I probably wouldn't have cared that much, because I was so focused on the Gaang.
While I am excited to see it, I still feel weird about seeing the future. Mainly because, whatever they say will be canon, even if I wanted it a different way it would take away the speculating, but it might give me peace of mind. But seriously, I just want one questioned answered and if they don't answer the question that I really want to know (the only one I'm really interested in, is if Zuko found his mom), then it would probably drive me crazy. I hope this part makes sense, I'm not that good at explaining things.
But in the end, I'm going to trust them, because I'm just happy for something new that is Avatar related (I don't really count the movie, since I haven't seen it yet.).

Hopefully they'll have a filler episode full of flashbacks of the gaang. I'd really like to see if any of the other characters had children, especially Zuko and Toph. Their awesome-ness should span generations. (I don't mean Zuko and Toph as a couple.)

Yup sad but true. According to Bryke they wished to abandon the full series format (which included the often hit or miss fillers) in favor of a tighter and more focused story structure this time. To this end they stated to write all of the episodes in the upcoming series themselves instead of getting other writers to write every other episode like they did last time. Edit: considering the length of the time jump it is entirely plausible that everyone in the old Gaang died in their 80's-90's, but considering what we also know of the setting info that seems to allow for not uncommon centenarians it's just as possible that some of the old Gaang should have survived after the time jump. For Example Kiyoshi and Guru Pathik were said to have lived over 200+ years each. Why not have some of the Gaang still living within the reasonable 100 years life expectancy? My guess is they were sacrificed for Story expedience.

All I have to say is that I find it REALLY disappointing and really, not even plausible, that all of the characters have died. Aang? I'm fine with that, whatever. EVERYONE ELSE? Not so much. I agree completely. It seems like a cop out to me, they didn't know what to do with the characters so they kill them off. It doesn't fit with the life expectancy we have already seem in the Avatar-world.
