Which moment or episode surprised you the most?
I would say Zuko being the Blue Spirit since I had no idea who it was and my theories of who was the Blue Spirit did not even suspect him.
Roku being the best friend of Sozin and that surprised me because Sozin actually had a friend and Roku being the grand father of Ursa making Zuko and Azula his great grand children. Zuko related to both Sozin and Roku means an even more messed up family.
And my least favorite shocker
Zuko joining Azula in Crossroads of Destiny. Yeah I really hated that.

I was surprised when the Kyoshi Warriors looked up... And they weren't the Kyoshi Warriors!
Azula's golden, evil eye. O.o

I'm with Zutara - Earth King's throne room, seeing that the Warriors of Kyoshi were actually Azula and crew-- I jumped out of my chair and shouted "NOooo!!!!" Absolutely my biggest shocker of the series.

Sure, I'll move it to Episode Discussions for you. Zuko being the Blue Spirit definitely surprised me. I remembering reading so many theory posts on who it might be the day that episode aired; I thought it would be Hakoda, and instantly brushed off the idea that it was Zuko. Ahahaha. I'm glad too, it made the reveal even more shocking. xD The city of Omashu being overtaken by the Fire Nation at the end of the Cave of Two Lovers really surprised me too. Zuko joining Azula at the end of the season, as well. I'm more understanding of that decision now, but back then, oh man I was so mad about that. ^^;

My first instinct was the Kyoshi Warriors being Mai, Ty Lee, and Azula.
Then the first time I watched Day of Black Sun when the gAang encases Azula in rock and then the rock crumbles around her. I totally thought she, and not the Dai Lee agents, was earthbending and freaked out. Going with DoBS, the fact that the Fire Nation knew about the invasion all along was shocking.
I'm still surprised sometimes when Combustion Man turns up at the end of The Runaway.
And Zhao actually killing the moon spirit too.

I agree about Zuko being the Blue Spirit, I actually gasped when Aang pulled off the mask. I spent the whole episode thinking it was Jet, and had never even considered Zuko as an option really.
I was always surprised when Zuko showed up on Zhao's ship after the pirates blew his up. I was pretty certain that he had been killed.
Another shocker for me was when it was revealed that Iroh lied about conquering the last of the dragons to protect the masters.

I love how that nobody ever thought that the Blue Spirit was Zuko.
I thought of a lot of people but never Zuko. It was a shocker but one of my favorites.

Zuko joining Azula at the end of the season, as well. I'm more understanding of that decision now, but back then, oh man I was so mad about that. ^^; Yeah, I doubt Katara or even Iroh could have felt quite as betrayed as all the Zuko fans at that point in time. It was a stroke of sheer genius on the part of the writers to choose that moment to sink knife in.

Aanglover - I always jump in surprise when that happens! Never saw it coming. You guys know the Avatar Extras on Nicktoons? At the beginning of The Blue Spirit it says, "Spoiler Alert: Zuko is the Blue Spirit." Ruins the surprise a bit, huh?

Well I watched and followed the series from beginning to end and I would have to say the moment that was a real "Whoa..what!?!?" Was finding out that Zuko was the Blue Spirit
Then when the pirates blew up Zuko's ship, I really seriously thought he was a goner for a bit there so sad =(
Zuko joining with Azula for sure I felt so bad for Iroh.
And Azula actually killing Aang, thank heaves for that spirit water and that Katara didn't use it on Zuko's scar *shakes fist at Zuko*
