Has anyone else ever considered that perhaps you were meant to be property instead of having equal rights? I have.

Is it April Fool's yet?
Wavering from being amused to being disturbed Not sure where to go on this.
If you think you should be property, I suppose modern society still holds a niche as doormat for you.
The possibilities are endless, from working the streets for pittance to keeping a minimum wage grunt job or to marry an abusive spouse.
On a psychological level, i think you should talk that over with a professional, I don't think anybody is equipped to answer that.
However, apart from self imposed dependency, Slavery has proven not to work. True, the majority of people are followers, they won't mind much if they are owned or depend on the measly job for survival, which IMHO boils down to pretty much the same. But to a clear thinking individual this type of life does not work.
There are still pockets of the world where slavery is alive and well, and even those uneducated people do feel the urge to run away from their bonds. So I suppose you should ask this question to some of those people, who have been there. I suppose you would get a puzzled look upon your musings.
Freedom and Liberty are things we tend to take for granted. We are spoiled and we never had to lift a finger to earn it, not put ourselves in danger.
Give that a thought.

What countries have slavery in the modern era? I've heard that most Asia countries tend to sell whites into trafficking. But what other nations have slavery? I assume it's probably the third world, correct?

What do you consider slavery?
It ranges from Asian sweat shops, African tribes to various individuals serving the carnal needs all over the world.
I don't think there is a single region to it, though in some places it is locally accepted.

I have never thought that I was meant to be property, and I don't understand why anyone would want to be.

Well democracy is the tyranny of the majority. But the individual is not powerless. Slavery is on a more personal level. Democracy and personal freedom are modern accomplishments, dating back only a couple hundred years in the Western world, not regarding a relative brief Greek interlude (which btw coincided with slavery)

Slavery could be aform of punishment. Instead of letting criminals live by State's money in prison let them work to death.
At least for murderers, rapists and child abusers.

Those are the people I want in jail. In history slavery has been a means to repay dept with the possibility to gain your freedom back. Or just as spoils to the victor.

I have a need for someone to do my International Honors College application as well as my term paper for English. Could a slave handle this for me?

For all intents and purposes, most people are treated like commodities in modern society (probably ancient society as well considering the recent evidence that the people who built the pyramids were not "slaves"). And dont get me started on "equal rights".

Not to be snarky here, just a genuine observation - if you assess yourself as "worth nothing," then what good are you as property? Most people possess property for the very reason that it has some sort of perceived value. (Also, I highly, highly doubt you're "worth nothing." Everyone has something to contribute. )
