I just got home from the midnight showing.. And oh god. I want to kick David Yates in the face. I could repopulate the PLANET with the BS he stuck in there.. and dear god WHERE WAS THE PLOT? Somewhere with Bush's nuclear warheads no doubt..
..I mean really- when did we burn The Burrow? When did GINNY ever lead HARRY to dispose of HIS BOOK. What the helllllll?!?!?!?!?

Ahaha, lawl. I too went to go see it. Ok,I thought I has like forgotten everything that had happened in the book. Like you said, the burning of the Burrow, I did not remember that at all. This movie however was much more darker, like it had be projected to be. The special effects were really good too. It makes me what to be a wizard again.
I FORGOT HOW SAD I WAS WHEN DUMBLEDORE DIED. :/

Hey, I liked it. XD I was confused quite a bit - cuz it's been three years since I read HBP, so I was like "Wait... did that happen?" but I know it didn't. Either way, the movie entertained me, and I like to think of the movies as a separate entity from the books.
I loved the acting in the film as a whole, at least. The cast has really gotten very good at what they do, and Tom Felton really shined - which makes me very happy for him. And Dan and Rupert were adorable in their funny/awkward scenes. I think the only thing that REALLY disappointed me was the lack of total chaos at the end. The Death Eaters kinda marched in, killed Dumbledore, and waltzed right back out. That was weird. Helena Bonham Carter is absolutely nasty as Bellatrix though. She never fails to impress.

I agree with you guys- it was obviously visually impressive, and I won't deny it. The darkness was one of the only things that I expected. When Katie grabbed the necklace, I was actually a little freaked.
The acting was fantastic as well. Helena Bonham Carter and Tom Felton were exceptional, as were the rest of the cast. The Luna character kind of annoys me here. She's a bit too air headed. I feel like she's more down to Earth, but in her own version of Earth, ya know?
Anyway, my only issue was the plot, which is, of course, the basis of the movie.

Who jumped when the Inferi grabbed Harry's wrist? I did. And I could sense it coming. I was like "don't jump, don't jump, don't jump, don't - ACK!" XD

Well, my entire row jumped at that part including me. You could tell that it was coming, but much like you, I am unsure why I jumped as well.

I knew it was coming and lold at everyone else.
This one was vastly superior to Phoenix, probably one of the better films in the series, but nothing could save anything based on HBP.

and dear god WHERE WAS THE PLOT? Somebody didn't read the book, DOHOHOHOHO. Anyway, that was so much better than OotP, which was absolute garbage. A bit too much of Ginny being a terribly uninteresting character though. It could have used a bit more Alan Rickman as well, but then again, one could say that about anything.

HBP was my favorite of the books... .____. I nearly flew out of my seat when that Inferi grabbed Harry's arm, and I even knew it was aout to happen. XD Then again, I'm sure when everybody saw Harry reach down to the lake, they all thought "Some serious s**t's about to go down."

The movie was pretty decent, way better than the 5th one of course. A bit disappointed they took out so many flashback scenes of Voldy's past. I know it's impossibly to follow the book exactly but the movie seemed kind of jumpy and lacked smooth story flow. I went with a few friends who never really read the books and they got confused in some parts since the movie is very fast-paced & doesn't explain that much.

Alan Rickman needs more screen time. He is simply amazing as Snape. (:

A bit too much of Ginny being a terribly uninteresting character though. I don't think it's the character, I think it's the actress. Cuz honestly, Bonnie can't act. She's very dull and she lacks the familiarity that the rest of the cast seems to have gotten over the years. Then again, she was surrounded by a lot of spectacular performances so maybe she just paled in comparison. Alan Rickman owns my soul. Considering the movie was about him, he didn't get as much screentime as I wanted. XD Then again, you can never have enough Snape.

Lol, so true. He will forever be Snape, even in other movies. xD And Daniel Radcliffe will always be Harry Potter. Pray to god the movie theatre has a power outage before the epilogue and BAM, a great last film for an amazing series. <3 omg, yes.
