Kinda awesome that it's out already and we're finally getting to see something, but I wish it captured the lightheartedness of S1. I know it's going to be a lot different, but the intensity level's already at Sozin's Comet.
The Airbending looked good. Not fake or anything. Though the candles are weird and I hope that's not actually a scene in the movie....

I approve! Sure, the design is different (as noted with the Four Nations icons on the banners), but it looks great. The Airbending looked good. Not fake or anything. It should look good. Industrial Light & Magic are behind the visual effects. Though the candles are weird and I hope that's not actually a scene in the movie.... I find it unlikely they will. It seems too scripted for a trailer to be a scene in the movie proper.

Were the four nation symbols different? I only saw them quick but I though they were the same. I really liked how the title went on fire and then got waterbended out ( zutara) It was pretty cool. I know nothing about special effects in movies, but it's good to know that the company is well known and capable. ;D

Chic Now that I looked closer I can see the difference. They're not enclosed in circles like they usually are. And Earth has no square, which always represented their strength to me, but it's not like I really have issues with that. It's not like we're going to see the symbols anywhere else. And on the YouTube page, all the commenters complaining about how he's white - STOP IT! You either have to accept it and if you don't, just move on or stop watching the videos and complaining. I want to talk about Avatar, not debate about racism.

This movie looks alright. Usually an anime/cartoon series having a movie with actual actors (not just voice actors) doesn't work to well. However, a series that uses actors and has an animated movie . . . that might work better.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I didn't really expect this to turn out so well since the transition from anime characters to actors playing these characters can be very difficult.
However, I will admit, it's looking a lot better than I thought it would. Especially the Fire Nation fleet. I have hope for this movie.

Well I see it's Hollywooded up quite a bit. But the trailer takes itself WAY too seriously.
Really- I hope the movie isn't going to be so focused on the seriousness of the story that the light moments and characterizations that made me truly love the show are gone.

Any epic storyteller worth their salt will include light moments and jokes for the sake of tension relief. Considering this is M. Night's first epic, we'll see how he does.

Well, it IS a trailer after all. I mean, honestly, the story is overall one of epic proportions. With less than two minutes to introduce fans as well as on a larger scale an entirely new audience, I understand why the trailer is rather epic..... I'm sure the goofiness is still going to be there. The inclusion of Jackson Rathbone assures me of this. Most people are all freaked about him because he's stoic in Twilight, but being a secret Disney Channel fan, I remember the days of goofy, grinning Jackson of Movie Surfers. I think he's really going to be an excellent edition as far as comic relief.
One thing that really bothers me is the music. I mean, I knew there was little chance they'd use the Avatar theme we know and love, but it really just sounded so cliche as far as epic soundtracks go....... I was really hoping for a definable theme, like the Harry Potter theme, Terminator theme, or even Star Wars. Oh well. We can't always get what we want.
Btw, the special effects are SHMAWESOME.

But I am so psyched for it! I think the movie/movies are going to be awesome...different from the series...but Awesome!

I didn't like the music either, but it's only a trailer, and only the first of the three; so there's little chance that music will be anything like what's in the actual movie. As quick as it was I enjoyed it, and don't have any real complaints as of yet.
