He definitely does look 8ish, but fireflamesinferno makes a really good point. They're better off having a young Aang here than an old Aang further down the road. With the everything going on in this movie, I think it's going to be wicked cheesy no matter what they do. The sets looked fake to me and it's close to impossible to get all the CGI to look real. So IMO they should have embraced the fact that this is going to be a cheesy movie, and went with that. Give Aang his bright blue arrow and orange and yellow clothes and give Zuko his bald ponytail. Just go over the top with it. The show itself is cheesy so why not have the movie get the same vibe instead of a sad attempt at serious?

And my concerns about the bending exactly. You'd think they'd be able to pull it off and not have it look cheesy. Oh, well. Still have relatively high hopes.

In the first pic, it looks like Zuko has a few other scars on his face, none of which look like a super sexy burn scar. *sighs* It just looks like a cat scratched him up a bit.

LOL, I can see it now: Zuko carrying around a fluffy white kitty, whom he strokes while ranting and picking at his teeth with his pinky. He is heartbroken when the cat is left behind at the south pole, hidden in the white that surrounds him. As a result, the angsty prince throws himself off a cliff.

They got the inspiration for bending from Shaolin soccer and that was live action. Just watch that movie and Avatar is going to be like that just without the soccerballs, lol.

All of the excitement that I had for this movie. . . is gone. What excitement? LOLz, sorry. What about that picture from one of the links? I could kind of see a scar thing on Dev! ( PS: Why aren't his eyes gold? Dammit, the gold eyes are what we LIVE for! Give us some gold M. Night!) Then again, you guys are right- it didn't look as pronounced as it should be. And what was that thing on Noah's head?! It looked kind of like a diamond from how I saw it- and it wasn't blue!

Aang's tattoo design is going to look sooo BA when it gets all glowy, well IF it gets glowy... hopefully M. Night doesn't put a twist on that little detail either...

That'd just be weird..... What's the point of making people look so different than how they do in the series? And haven't they cast an Asian man as an Earth Kingdom man already?

As someone who studies Tai Chi, I DO hope that this is not true. I will be royally p-... angry. Tai Chi exemplifies water bending so well! On the other hand, perhaps it will be better to watch them butcher some other martial art instead.... >.>;; As for Noah Ringer, I think he'll be able to pull it off. I actually like what the did with the arrow. The intricacy of the design is pretty cool, and as Ardor said, it will look pretty epic while glowing (if they didn't trash that).
