haha yeah.......i think we should have a petition for bryan and mike to write a whole new story for the trilogy...I mean the animated series is a masterpiece in of itself, and pretty much no cartoon or anime has been able to been Avatar in storytelling. I think readapting the animated series into a live action will take away what we love most from the show. Shrinking 10 hours of content per season into 2-3 hours, is alot of content gone out the window. I don't care if M. Night directed or not, I'm sure he'll be fine, I hope it won't be overly CGI.

While I didn't find the story lines super interesting (more for the happening [note: anyone else see the Avatar backpack the kid wore at the end?], I enjoyed lady in the water), his directing is pretty good. Mike and Bryan wrote the story, and are working with him on the script, so when I think about it a bit more... I am not as nervous as I first was.
The only thing I am abit touchy on is how everyone will look live... I hope they get good actors.

It's the special effects and other stuff that I'm worried about. I heard his last 3 movies weren't good at all, but yet people still keep going to see them. Go figure. I'm hoping M&B will keep it as good as the series.

i hope it won't be overly CGI as like "sharkboy and lavagirl" or "journey to the center of the earth" or even "king kong" I really want them to shoot at natural settings.
I know the bending will probably be CGI, but meh. I at least hope the martial arts will be real, and I hope the actors are force to get in shape and get basic forms down. I don't want no lines and invisible wires, no westernize-kungfu movie for me!!!
Hey, sebastianthecrab, since we both in Maryland we should carpool (save gas) and drive down to philiadelphia. Anyone else wanna join? I don't know how they would feel about the fans bulging in. I'm sure if Bryan and Mike were there they wouldn't mind, I'm sure M. Night himself, probably would appreciate a couple of insights from the fans, but I hope were the first, before we become just a number.

I think if the CGI is like Hellboy...it could work speicaly for the blue flames
Not really much to talk about since were at the writeing stage and M&B are doing the writeing...M.Night just directing.

But the wires are what classic kung fu is all about!
