So I went to the mall for my friend's birthday but we got bored so we walked like 8 blocks and across a highway to go to the movies, and we went to see Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. I'm a HUGE fan of the book, and the movie didn't disappoint. It did at first when you realized there were a lot of changes, but when you think it over, the book was mostly internal thinking, so it wouldn't have been that great of a movie if it was just like a book. The changes were funny and made the movie flow pretty well. I was mostly disappointed with the casting of the leads though. The supporting actors were so much better. And idk if it was just me, but it felt like a lot of the shots in the movie were tailored to make Kat Dennings look unflattering. Michael Cera didn't really fit the semi-emo kid Nick is in the book.
Oh and of course they only got to use one f-word because of the PG-13 rating, so it was quite toned down.
so...has anyone seen it?

I didn't see it because it looked like forced hipness.
This worries me, because he was cast as the lead in "Scott Pilgrim" a movie I do look forward to, but he's not like the lead character at all. I guess he's going to end up doing "awkward teen" yet again for that role as well.

Oh, technically Nick is a punk-rocker with some emo in him. huh.
Scott Pilgrim...23 year old dating a high schooler? awkwardd, but the seven exes thing sounds fun. I love Mary Elizabeth Winstead though. ^_^
