Ok, so this a a fanfic about zuko and his family. Each chapter will be from the point of view from either Iroh, Zuko, Lu Ten, or Ursa. Also, the 1st chapter of each character will start with a dream, and as you can see the dream is in italics and a different color. The rest of the gang will be in here somewhere, but for now its just them. ^_^ Hope you like, and please tell me what you think.
IROH
My eyes open to the sight of the sky, the sun at its peak, half obuscured by a mighty wall. As my gaze lingers upon it, a feeling of serenity comes over me, its might and beauty filling my spirit as I give my son a hug. Suddenly, the beauty and grace shatters as I looked upon a battle, bodies strewn in every direction, the sand stained red. Where has the beautiful wall gone? Where have I been taken? More importantly, where is Lu Ten? I look down at myself, noticing the armor that hs replaced my robe, and the sword now strapped around my waist. A darkness starts to fall over me, and with fear filled eyes, I turn towards the beginning of the shadow that now surrounds me. There, under the wall, a dark, evil aura now surrounding it, a helmet and sword seem to hover above the rest of the massacre. a blood stained and dented helmet. I run towards it, hoping it isnt true...
Iroh awakes, his face streaked with the tears that had supposed to have been a dream, its memory still lingering. He wipes his face, and turns toward his bookcase. Still shaken, he walks towards it and picks up a picture. As he looks at it, he tries to hold back more tears, but a stray tear falls down his cheek, dropping onto the picture. He wipes it away before setting it down, takes in a deep breath, clears his mind, and grabs his apron. " Tea makes everything better..." He mumbles with a forced smile as he gets ready for another day in the Jasmin Dragon.
Sipping some of his favourite tea, his first customer comes through the door, setting the bell jangling above it. " Well, your early toda..." He turns around to notice that its not his usual cutomer, in fact he has never seen this man before. He wore earth kingdom garments, his hood over his face, but there was an air about him that made it hard to determine what nation he was really from. " Hello there, how may I service you today?" iroh greeted him with a smile and a bow. "Your mourning has come to an end." The man seems to float as he comes from the doorway to the counter. "What do you mean? My morning has just started." Iroh exclaimed, puzzled at to what this man was playing at. " He is alive, and he is waiting for you. where earth and sky, water and fire all meet and seperate at the same time. This is were you shall find your son." Before Iroh could take in what he had heard, the man had already gone out the door. Iroh, finally back to his senses, ran out the door to catch him, but he was nowhere in sight. He stopped in the middle of the street, looking at the sky, amazement covering his face. "Lu Ten....alive....?"
Zuko
The turtle duck pond, my favourite place. I sit in my mother's lap, throwing bread to the turtleducklings. Azula, a toddler at the time, sits beside us, trying to catch one of the ducklings. Not to close, Azula, you'll fall in. She grabs her, and sets her in here lap next to me. Azula pouts, but stays there. Can we stay here forever mom? Right here is perfect. She smiles at me and my silly 6 year old thoughts.well, that WOULD be nice wouldn't it, but you guys have to go to bed sometime. She starts to tickle us, then picks us up, and starts to carry us to the garden door. Suddenly, I feel a pulling at my shoulder and....
"Your higheness, it's time for the wake up call you ordered." Zuko turns in his bed, groaning. Why did I order a wake up call today anyway? Isnt today my rest day? "I not ready yet, please leave." He shews the servant away, and covers his head with one of his pillows. " But sir, you...." "I said I'm not ready yet!" zuko's voice tore through the servants words, as a pillow flew through the air, tailing the fleeing servant, then falls with a soft thump somewhere in the hall. Seconds later, the pillow flies back into the room, and hits him in the back of the head, and he unsteadily fall over back onto the bed. "I saw a pillow fly and a servant run, whats wrong now?" Zuko turned his head to see Mai standing in the doorway."Nothing, I just wanted to sleep a little longer..." Zuko's mind still clung the remnents of his dream, hoping he would be able to finish it. "The servants have been trying to wake you for almost an hour, dont you think thats long enough? Besides, you need to go train, not laze around. Oh, and if you already forgot, your trainging buddy has been waiting for about an hour, too." Zuko looked up at her in a suprised daze. I almost forgot!" Is he still waiting?" Zuko asked, slipping into his training clothes. Mai looked down the hall as small footsteps echoed down the hallway. "Speak of the devil." Mai moved aside to let him into the room. "I've been waiting out in the training field all morning, and all you've been doing is sleeping? Thanks to you, I think my head is sunburned!" Aang glared from across the room, rubbing his head, which, zuko noticed, did look a little red. "You could have waited in you room. Or woken me up." Not that Zuko would have like the latter option. "Well, now that your up,"Aang jumped onto an air scooter and grabbed zuko's arm," Let's go!"
