I'm going to attempt this over Christmas break with my friends! I bet we could do it! We did the same thing with Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Oh, Harry Potter too! XD

I wanna try! I would watch all season one and three on the computer. I only have season two on Dvd.
I wish I had friends that liked Avatar and would be willing to do this. DX

The marathon math can pay off now. Nicktoons Network is having an "Aang'sGiving Weekend". Friday is all book I, Saturday Book II, and Sunday Book III.

I just watched all the episodes over about a week about two weeks ago. However, I think I'd like to partake in a marathon broken into about three days. I wish I could devote an entire day to this, but time and family will simply not allow me to do so. I'll probably do this a few days before Christmas day, maybe finishing up on the Eve. If anyone would like to join me on this, possibly to talk about it while we watch (or in between episodes), I'd be glad to do this over AIM. I hope I don't ruin anything by doing this, but at least this allows me to revisit the series in as condensed a time frame I can fit into my schedule (this will be making it quite packed).

I find the opening, ending and "Previously on Avatar" bits distracting even when doing single book Avatar marathons. I dont think I could cope with a full out marathon. Pass.

^ That can be a pain, especially when watching Sozin's Comet (on the DVD they each have their own "Previously On's" instead of one super long one. I also like to spend a long time (usually at leat a month) on marathons. Otherwise the whole thing feels... rushed. And I'm just so used to waiting for new episodes to come out and it doesn't feel the same otherwise.

I've been watching some of the marathons on Nicktoons Network and I agree the previously on Avatar things are pretty annoying. They've even put them on season one episodes which never had them before. I understand that they're probably just trying to make sure that viewer who are tuning in for the first time know whats going on but most things are usually explained well enough in the episode for you to have a pretty good grasp on the story. Not to mention that usually they've shown the whole book that day so if you watch the whole marathon you end up seeing some scenes multiple times.

^Yes, I recall rewatching the Seaosn 1 finale on TV a loooong time ago (it was before the series ended, I know that), and they had added the "Previously On" to the episode. They get a little irritating after a while. Sure, it makes sense to have those on episodes on TV, but to add them to the DVD episodes is pretty pointless. Although it's very telling of just how complex and downright revolutionary Avatar is as a children's cartoon. I just rewatched all of the episodes a while ago, and I continually rewatch the DVDs regularly, so I don't think another one would be too fun for me. :/ Curse my lack of a livelihood. Although I think it would be awesome to have friends watch the marathon with you, so you could discuss the episodes as you watch them. *wishes for a home movie theatre system to watch the marathon in*
