^ I kinda hope they do both. Maybe a sort of back-and-forth between the two?
Old VA's would be amazing, but if they went with manga plot I wouldn't mind a change too much, as long as it's well done.
@goten -- I hate his last name too. XD

No one can pronounce Vic's last name. XD
Too bad Al's voice actor grew up. They'll probably have to replace him, but it'll be like with Mako and Greg Baldwin for Iroh; the new one won't have the same spark.

Aww, it'll be so sad if they bring back the other English VAs but not Aaron. He was adorable as Al. He might still be able to do it though, maybe. If they do have to get a new actor for the role, I just hope they choose someone who does the role well. It's hard enough getting someone to sound similar, being able to do that and do it with conviction seems incredibly difficult. I'd rather hear spark than an imitation.

They could pitch up his voice like they did for the maturing Zack Tyler Eisen...

I suppose Vic will be playing Ed if Chris Hansen doesn't get to him first.

*has horrid lack of knowledge when it comes to VAs* Well, how much older is Aaron now? If they decide to continue the plot and just make Al older then could pretend he went through puberty or something. fail!idea =P No one can pronounce Vic's last name. XD I've actually heard someone say it before. Sounded french.

Aaron's about 15 now or 16. I hope they get all the same VA's, even Aaron, if he can do it.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing this! Especially some of the scenes in the manga, that would be great animated.

Neat stuff. Hopefully there won't be any tie-ins between the old anime and this new series. I'm all for separate canons. Another thing I'm really digging is the potential that this series has to follow the manga all the way to the end. I really loved some of the diverging treatment that the homunculi were given in the original anime, but if this one sticks closer to the author's vision for the series, then we'll have two great series on our hands, each with their own compelling stories to tell.

Omgz, this is eather awesome or horrible news. It will be so cool if they do it right, but its like the squeal movie, its never as good as the 1st. =_= I really hope it will be cool, but they could end up just making the manga into a anime, which would be annoying, but cool, I guess. But, then again, if they build off the Germany thing, where they left off, then what would happen there? There was no Alchemy where they left off, so it would not really be "Full Metal Alchemist" Also, there was a OVA where ED was like...90? So, if they continued with the anime, would they have to work with the 3 children that look just like Ed, Al, and Winery, except in our world and time? Eather way, I know I will end up watching it.
Maybe they could put Al's voice arcor on helium or something.
