One day long after youre all grown up and your parents have finally kicked you out of the house for good, youre going to look back on this and realise that they said the exact same thing about your first grade crayon painting. And even you have to admit that sucked. ;p Actually I cooked stuff for them for a while and they've even backed away from the stuff I made a few years ago. Now it's edible I suppose. I still can't make the cheese in Mac and cheese flow right without tasting like crap.

That's the thing, when I boil cheese with milk and go mixing it around, it's hard to get the proper texture. Too little milk and cheese hardens and burns. Too much and it's a sick slime.

Oh right, for a double boiler, do you put anything on it to keep the cheese or whatever food from sticking?

You do know what a double boiler is, right? Just checking Yeah, you put some water in the bottom pot, then you put the cheese in the top bowl. It's great because it lets you melt things like cheese (or chocolate) without burning them.

Lol yes I know XP
I meant the top pot with the cheese. Is there anything that keeps it from sticking to the metal?

Rofl, I was just checking xD
Um... I don't think the cheese will stick to the metal, as long as it's not on high heat

Horyo: I'm sure you could add some butter to the bowl or spray some grease like Pam or the like but that really wouldn't be necessary at all, just make sure that you do not turn the heat too high and leave it sitting there longer than it needs to. And stirring will help.

Horyo, I've gotta give you props, I've never tried making homemade macaroni and cheese before. I've always relied on Kraft or Velveeta.

I tried store-bought M and C and stuff but the cheese tastes TERRIBLE.
It's like fishy.

^^ Ill admit Never tried to make M&C from scratch myself either but then Ive never been that much a fan of the stuff. Im glad I havent if it involves getting a double boiler. Authentic italian pasta dishes arent that complicated.
