I think it's just so funny that show directed toward young boys about the ages of 6-12 and it seems that the show is prodaomitly watched mostly everyone 16 and up. XD I think the creators wanted to create a show that was geared a little more toward the preteen and teenage crowd, but I doubt they expected such a huge teen fanbase.

I was 15, and I'll be 19 next week!! Man does time fly! Looking at the poll, most viewers are in the 14-16 yr age brackett. That is much older than it was intended for, but then again, I don't think the show was appropriate for the youngsters at times. I'm actually glad that older kids watched it, we don't like garbage so it proves just how awesome Avatar is!!!

Something is wrong here. There were way more than 13 posters in the "Viewers of Avatar Over 20" (or some title like that) thread.

I started watching it when I was 16, and I turned 19 in June, so I guess it really depends on what people are into when it comes to what the average age is. Granted, most people started in early teens.

I don't know about the average age but I'm 21. I don't care about being an 'older' viewer but I happen to like the show.

^^I don't know about that. I know alot of people that are my age and older that watched it to the end. If you ask the younger kids around here, most of them have never heard of it, or they say it's dumb. My brother was harrassed at school because he liked Avatar, he's now 10. Most of the kids in his school never liked it or never heard of it.

There are some kids that watch it, though. I once had a conversation with a group of nine year old boys about avatar when I was a camp counselor during the summer of '07. I felt like such a dork XD But it was awesome.

I have cousins in California (I think they're around 8 or something), they love Avatar and according to them a lot of their friends in school like it too. I've heard stories from other online Avatar fans about running into kid Avatar fans as well. So I definitely do think that there is a significant portion of kid Avatar fans, but the amount of them probably differs for different areas. Whether it's "acceptable" for them to watch cartoons and let others know about it probably affects the numbers too.
