Boy do I have a list of them.
Besides a league of summer reading books that I never had the audacity to complete beyond chapter five (The Diary of Miss Jane Pittman, The Secret Life of Bees, Brave New World, etc.), there are a ton of books that I bought, and haven't gotten around to picking them up again.
In all honestly, most of them are the over popularized young adult books, such as:
Eragon Twilight Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
but also includes: The Fall of a Kingdom The Joy Luck Club Blood-Sucking Fiends

I usually finish every book I start, no matter how bad it is, but I could not make myself finish Twilight. It was just soooooo blah. Maybe after I see the movie I'll try to get back into it. :/
For school I read most, but I didn't ever finish The Pearl. I did not like that at all. DX

That happened to me with both books. With Twilight, I've been hearing all sorts of neat stuff about how "WA!" it is an stuff, and then I finally got it. Only half way through. And I started it last year. It just didn't intrigue me like other fantasy/supernatural books, so I just went, "Whatever. I'm going to read something else now." With Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - oh man. It took me forever to get that on a role. I borrowed it from my friend one Thanksgiving break (about two years ago), and I only got to chapter two. Then that next summer, my friend told me to hurry up and give him his book back. So then I just said, "You know what? I'm just going to hurry up and finish this $h!t in two days, then give it to him on his b-day." And I did. Hey, Harry Potter is good and all, but it just takes forever for the plot to get somewhere. And the chapter are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. I'm with you guys. When I get a book, I usually finish it. Heck, if the book is that good, I'll finish it in one-two days tops (I finished reading four books this weekend, starting Friday. ). But if a book doesn't take me anywhere after chapter five - *shrug*

I never got around to finishing the third installment of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. The first book was great but the following books didn't have the same spark and I just quit the third book.

The Da Vinci Code Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
I just came to a spot where I didn't want to read anymore for the day and didn't pick them up to read again.

This is a very interesting thread, SM. ^_^ Note to everyone who will post here: To create more discussion in here, it's best to post the reason(s) why you never finished the book. Posts where you only say which book like this... don't really stimulate discussion. So just add a little comment from now on.

I never finished Eragon because I got distracted from it.
I purchased that with another book, Everworld by K.A. Applegate. I was reading the first three chapters of Eragon and it was interesting enough. But then I gave a glance at the first chapter of Everworld,
and they mentioned a Taco Bell.
And back then I liked Taco Bell (before they gave me food poisoning).
I said, "I'm totally reading this."
Of course, there was more to that story than Taco Bell, but it interested me enough to put Eragon on the shelf. And it remains on that shelf to this day. ^_^;

The ones I haven't finished yet...
Eldest- I had to bring it back to the library EARLY and couldn't renew it because some moron had it on hold. I still haven't had the chance to check it out again.
Chronicles of Narnia: The Horse and His Boy- Right now, I'm more interesting in playing Final Fantasy XII than reading, even though I have it for the rest of the summer. =P *is lazy*
Running Out of Time- It's very.... blah.
Among the Hidden- Not in the mood to pick it up again. But it's interesting.
^^;;;
@sm: Aw, I'm beginning to like Taco Bell. It has that problem?

The Last Kingdom- Story is really good and the main character is nice but I just stopped for a day and never got round to it again. I keep trying to pick it up but there is always something distracting me from finishing it.
A Christmas Carol- Audio book ruined it for me. Why read it when I've already had someone else read it to me? I should've stayed away from those audio books....I really should've.
The Fountainhead- I was really into this book because the story intrigued me but it took forever for the story to move forward! One day, I got to the middle of the book and finished a couple pages for the day. It lay waiting on my shelf the next day....and the next day...and the next day...
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers- The pacing killed my interest in finishing this book.
Pride and Prejudice- I got this book to finally find out what all the greatness was. In the end I got to the middle of it and couldn't stand the writing style any longer....such slow pacing. The characters were a pain because I just couldn't get myself to care about them.
Wuthering Heights- Now this one faired better than Pride and Prejudice. The pacing got a bit better and I cared about the characters more but a friend borrowed it. She still has yet to return it to me.>_>

The Sword and the Stone.
I got to chapter two and then put it away, never to see the light of day again. It was just so boring!
And then I tried to read the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but after seeing the movies, it's kinda hard to read the books.
And any Jane Austen book. I'm sorry, but I can't ever get myself to care about the characters.
