So I just started this book this morning, and, I'm finished.
It's 200- and something pages, but it's a real quickie. You can finish it in three hours tops if you have nothing to do.
Anyway. It's a real heartbreaking book. It's about a Nepali girl who was sold into prostitution in India in order to help her impoverished family. It tells about the horrors that she and the other girls have to go through and how they have to cope with the harsh reality.
After reading this book - to all of you first world bashers (the people who complain about the treatment of middle class families in industrialized countries) - you will be D@MNED thankful that you probably don't and won't ever have to go through the b.s. that more than half of the world goes through everyday.
This book is yet another eye-opener of the reality, and I recommend this book to those who have a strong heart.
(Now I am going to go give away even more of my stuff to charity...)
