I know this is an older episode but I just spotted something unusual in it. When the beatleheaded merchants load Appa on the skiff they use some type of bending to close the legs around him. I looked closer but the skiff just looks like wood so I'm still stumped. Anybody have any idea what that was? I'm sorry if this has been posted before but i didn't find any topics on this.

The joints were probably stone or something.
Or it could be a plothole.

That freeze of Suki and Azula fighting is the only freeze I can think of besides the ending of a Tale of Iroh in Tales of Ba Sing Se. I wonder if both episodes had the same writer. EDIT: No, they dont. I guess its just a coincidence. Still, Giancarlo Volpe did cowrite a Tale of Momo so it makes sense that he would write this episode.

Gee, I just assumed that the only bending that them beetle fellers did was at the knees to push the joints shut. My dvd remotes on the fritz and I cant pause the scene to tell for sure. Sorry if my first post was but I figured that all "Appa's lost days" related posts should be here to avoid thread duplication.

No I didn't mind that o.o I just wanted you to explain because you're usually good at figuring it out.
It would make sense if they pushed one leg and it somehow caused the other legs to move as well.

^^ Thats very kind of you to say.In leu of any element bending, I would assume that all the wooden clamps were connected to a common turning "spine" so that they could all be opened and shut simultaneously.
