In DongbuFeng.net it said that it was also an ACTION RPG as well as a battle arena game. So that might make some things more enjoyable.
As for the STATS: Yes there ares tats. The video showed your stats and level. I think you can equip weapons too and use different types of bending moves.

Well, this will be one that my brother will be screaming about in the morning! He's so into games. I'm just sad that they waited until it was over to do. Wasted time in my opinion!!!
Thanks for sharing the news!

Yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up. I remember there being an Avatar XBOX360 game, and you can get 1000 free achievement points on the first level. And that's how many achievements there are in the game. If the franchise gave Avatar to a respectable gaming company, something that had the same effort and skill level as something like Bungie or Blizzard, they could put some awesome RTS together. I don't know about the RPG franchise, but Blizzard has done exceptionally well with WOW from what I've heard, and Avatar is almost perfect for an RPG AND an RTS. Bobble head bender was a pretty good RTS (minus the population limit), I enjoyed it.

I gotta agree, don't get your hopes up. Having the sub title "arena" makes it very limiting. More likely this game will not be in mmo in the game world sense. More likely it's going to be an arena match making channel with persistent stats. Much like exteel. You'll see game styles that are similar to FPS. ie CTF, Team "deathmatch", FFA, etc.
On the video demo it just seems to enforce this view of arena based combat.

If I am going to play an Avatar MMO, I want it to be as epic as World of Warcraft. A game where you can roam around the Avatar world, choose your class (Yu Yan Archer? Soldier? Cabbage Merchant? XP), choose if you want bending prowess or hand to hand combat prowess, and of course factions.
Sadly this isn't that.

Unlikely as Nick is very cheap when it comes to game development. MMO such as WoW consume a LOT of time that parents probably wouldn't want their kids spending on games.
I wouldn't be surprised if they released this as a free MMO with a microtransation shop to support it ala Maplestory etc.

In the video the gameplay looks very similar to the quake 3 mod "Bid for power". From the looks of the video you can only equip your bender with only 4 moves for a fight. I think that is really limited. Also, there seems not to be any hand to hand combat in the game nor any interaction with the enviroment.
Personaly i think this game will be very dissapointing if they keep it like this.

Nick never -makes- their own games. Usually THQ makes their licensed games for them, and I'd imagine they're developing this too. Believe me, I wish this game could actually be a quality title, but from Nickelodeon's perspective, what do you think they'd rather do--invest a lot of money in a good game and make a big profit, or pay for cheap poorly developed shovelware and make a bigger profit?

I laugh that your blaming Nickelodeon for THQ's perspective, since there the ones making the game
THQ mostly make the so call kids game cause THQ gose after that market...they have licences because they go after the so call big names Pixar and or Disney. Now you could argue that like Disney, they have a game publishing company but they assist...So maybe Nick should go under that market as well.

It's THQ's fault bad games are made? They're being paid by companies like Disney and Nick to make bad games because they're going to sell no matter what. THQ's made good games before, like Saints Row, Destroy All Humans, Company of Heroes, etc.. If Nick wanted to make a good game they could get somebody to do it, but it's obviously just not something their interested in. You can say "oh but they might have changed their heart" but considering their track record... I doubt it. As strongly as you feel, please refrain from using curse words. Thank you.

No my arugment is that somehow your still blaming Nickelodeon because THQ make bad games...SO THQ share no blame and all of it including some of that are legit argument against THQ go all to Nick.
Note that with also borring licence's is like a contract...they have to honor it.
Same note as above
