So the War of the nations has ended. Does that mean that the tale is over? Far from it.
Iroh was correct to talk of destiny, for the World of Elements did have a destiny...to die. The true role of the comet was to give the Fire Lord the power to accomplish this. But the Avatar Aang has stopped him. Somewhere in the universe; a higher power is angry...Something that the Fire Lord knew all to well...
As the comet leaves, it has instead plummuted to the Earth. Out of it comes a shadowery supernatural being, whos destiny was thwarted because the Fire Lord has failed, the supernatural being will have to take matters into his/her own hands and appease the Higher Power...by bringing destruction back to the Earth.
Ozai knows the truth behind what happened to his wife. A sacrifice would be needed and an evil spirit needed a human host to be able to manipulate the world. Destiny spoke to the Fire Lord Ozai, depicting that the sons of both Iroh and Ozai (Luten and Zuko) would play a part in ending the destruction of the world. With Luten killed, Azulong needed to have Zuko killed, and Ozai's arrogance gave the Fire Lord Azulong a reason to achieve this, whilst at the same time offering the body of the young boy to the Higher Power, for aas Zuko had an important part in the destiny the Higher Power has shaped, his body would make a formidable vessel. However, Ursula, the mother of Zuko couldn't let this happen. Ursula sacrificed herself in the ritual before anyone could stop her. With a body sacrificed, the fact that Luten was dead and the apparent lack of talent that Zuko showed; the death and offering of Zuko was no longer deemed neccessary.
The evil spirit inside Ursula took its rightful place in the comet that was to approach many years later, altering it to give the Fire Lord more power than depicted, feeding Ozai enough power for him to set his bloodlust upon a huge part of the world, believing that the Higher Power would reward him in return, and more importantly, to give back the body of Ursula, his wife. The reemerging of Aang however was not forseen in destiny, and Ozai had failed...
The evil spirit of the Higher Power, using the body of Ursula as a host to walk the Earth, shall now destroy the Earth itself...
