Okay, to help me with my massive AWS, and because I want a new Avatar series a whole lot, I'm gonna be writing this fanfic. The title really isn't The Next Avatar, I just put that there so you could get the general gist of what its gonna be about. Yep, its gonna be about the Avatar after Aang. Anyway I'll be TRYING to do a full, three book, 61 chaptered series. . So.. yeah. Heres the prolouge:
Earth. Fire. Air. Water.
For thousands of years, the four nations have coexisted together in harmony. The Avatar, master of all four elements, would keep peace between them. Thanks to him, it has been nearly ninety years since the world was thrown into imbalance. The previous Avatar, Aang, had saved the world and brought it back into balance.
However, Aang’s destiny has been fulfilled. It is time for a new Avatar to rise.

w00t! yeah. Any way, heres the actual Chapter One:
Book 1: Earth
Chapter 1: The Hashishans
He was powerless. Powerless to stop her. Powerless to help her.
“Goodbye… Eien…” The young, grey eyed girl whispered. “I- I’m sorry…” She plunged a long knife into her own heart.
He waited. A couple of seconds. A couple of minutes. An hour. He just stood there and stared at her. She was dead. And he still could not accept it…
Inari. That was the last word she muttered, in a high pitched voice, as her body convulsed finally. Inari…
“Eien!” A voice jolted him out of his sleep, “What do you think you’re doing?”
Eien, a sixteen year old waterbender, slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes open. The boy’s slightly tanned skin and brown hair were what gave away his southern water tribe heritage. He gave out a yawn before replying, “I’m waiting for you. You’re what? Five hours late?” Eien’s voice was flat and blunt.
“Actually, I think I’m seven hours late.” The man who had woke up Eien said. He was middle aged with long black hair and golden eyes. “Its noon.”
“Yeah, and you said to be here at daybreak!” Eien replied, pointing accusingly at the man. “Dang it, Kane. You always do this!”
“Technically,” Kane sat down under a tree while still talking, “I’m extremely early. We’re pulling the job at night.”
“At night?”
“Yep.”
“So you made me come all the way out here into the Earth Kingdom at dawn, and then waste my entire day waiting here for night fall?”
“Oh, like you have anything better to do.” Eien did not reply to that one. It was actually pretty true. Eien did not really have any friends or family. He did not have time for a life. It was just that simple.
“You know what, I’m going back to sleep.” Eien finally replied.
Kane shook his head, “You know, you’re being given a great honor today. You should be very grateful.”
“Oh yeah, a GREAT honor. I get to go on a mission four years before I should. The only good thing about this day is the bonus it’s gonna bring to my paycheck.” Eien said defiantly.
“…Nothing is true. Everything is permitted….” Kane muttered the code of the Hashishans to himself.
“You know, I’ve been training with the Hashishans since I was fourteen, and I still don’t believe in that little line.” In fact, everyone who joined the Hashishans had to be fourteen. That is when the mind was still very malleable, and the body was starting to become strong. The recruits would go through rigorous, mainly mental, training to prepare them for their first mission when they turned twenty. And yet, Eien was only sixteen. He did not know if he was ready. Ready to single out a man, look him in the eye, and then kill him. But then again, Eien did not have much of a choice. If he did not kill the man, then he himself would be killed by the Hashishans. It was times like this that he thought that he should get out. Even if the Sweepers came for him… Eh, Eien could probably avoid them. The only thing that kept Eien in this business was the money. And he got lots of money…
“I know you must be feeling nervous… I myself don’t know why you’re being sent out at such a young age. But, if you just remember you’re training, I’m sure you’ll be fine.” Kane, a veteran assassin, was there to make sure Eien did not screw anything up on his first mission.
Eien nodded, “Right. So when do you want to meet at this guys house?”
“Midnight should be good.”
Yawning, Eien laid back against a tree. “Looks like I’ll need some more sleep then.” Kane shrugged, and then began walking away as Eien dozed off again.
It was midnight and both Eien and Kane were well hidden in a line of bushes that surrounded a huge, Earth Kingdom style mansion made of solid rock.
“Remember,” Kane said, “Your target is just that: a target. An animal that needs to be cut down. Also, don’t think. Just act.” Eien pulled his small, dark mask over his mouth and nose, and then nodded. His target was an Earth Kingdom politician who had abused his power. It was the duty of a Hashishan to destroy corruption.
Without hesitation, Eien adeptly sneaked past the two guards in the front and then stole around to the back of the mansion. He then began scaling the back wall with ease, his hands and feet finding footholds in very unlikely places. At the top, Eien found a small window. He and Kane had been watching the house for quite a while and they knew that there should be no one in the room that the window led to.
Eien slipped into this small room undetected, and then began the next part of the plan. Using a bookshelf to jump off of, he was able to reach the entrance to the air duct. The air duct was actually just a large hole in the rock that let air in from the inside. Barely able to fit in it, Eien slowly crawled to his destination. The next opening, that was where the politician slept.
Eien froze. Something was crawling on his leg. Like a viper, he immediately and viciously slapped it off. He turned over and around to see dimly lit spiders hanging from threads. Dread overtook him as he identified the species of the spider: Termite Spiders, insects that ate through, and weakened, solid rock!
Abruptly, the whole duct collapsed, and Eien, along with tons of rocks, plummeted to the floor below. Cat-like, he landed on the balls of his feet and then rolled with the landing, avoiding the rocks that followed him. Coughing and rubbing dust from his eyes, Eien slowly stood up.
“Oh great.” Eien muttered as eight guards, armed with very sharp spears, stormed into the room. There were too many of them to take on with just his two daggers. However, Eien also carried a leather pack of water. He bent out all of his water, and split it into eight, sharp parts. Each part of the water went to slash the stomach of all the guards.
Too bad he was not very good at waterbending.
Each guard just got splashed a little. “Uh-oh.” Eien quickly recalled all his water and got in a fighting stance. Two guards charged, with their spears pointing at Eien’s heart. Eien jumped back, avoiding the thrust, and then let loose a water whip, knocking out both guards. The next three guards that attacked were met with a sharp cut to their legs, incapacitating them as well. Eien was wasting time, and knew more guards were on their way. He summoned up a large wave of water to knock the guards in the doorway backwards.
Eien ran out of the room, only to see his target being escorted away by two more guards. He rushed them, and before either guard could react, Eien knocked them out with another whip of water.
“No! Help me!” The politician fell backwards and held his hands up, an attempt to put distance between him and the attacker. Eien recalled the water and then unsheathed his ritualistic knife. When killing the target, the Hashishan could only use that knife. It was their greatest tradition.
Eien held the knife up high. “Its just an animal” Eien kept telling himself over and over again in his mind.
“No! Please spare me! I have children! A family!” And when the man said that, Eien made one of the greatest mistakes an assassin can make. He looked into his targets eyes. They were so full of fear… And Eien’s arm would simply not move.
But then a knife pierced the politician’s heart, and the man was immediately silenced. Eien turned around vigorously to see Kane with his arm held out.
“It’s okay, I’ve already killed all the other guards. We can take our time leaving.” Kane said bluntly. He then smiled at Eien. “You did a good job today Eien.”
Eien breathed a huge sigh of relief. “Yeah…”

Eien gets some pretty epic news, and Kane reveals a dark secret.

Yeah, there's chapter Uno. I know, very un-avatar-ish, and short. Also, I had written it on MS Word, and then copy and pasted it here, wich is why the indents aren't working. But hey! it'll get more avatar-ish soon, and hopefully I'll have the endurence to write longer chapters.
